That camera is phenomenal, the images look so clear as if the aircraft were flying low, and it can capture these planes at 40,000ft looking like 10,000. Amazing. To the human eye or any other camera they wouldn’t look so low. Just a barley visible white trail in the sky.

Some of those planes are so big that you (or at least I) can see the engines and stabilizers from 40K feet below! The 777-300ER at 36K will appear to be same size as an A320 at 18K.

Love it. The contrails vary so much.. Is it just the incident light? When I first looked I thought one engine was down on thrust! But they are seemingly often asymmetrical. I am an ancient plane spotter who had a (I think) better time to watch, when we had many more exciting aircraft... And MUCH noisier. We used to have the Soviet Tu154s and 134s and Il62s often flying in to London, as well as Comets (Dan Air) Concordes daily- what a noise they made...Crackling, rumbling ear splitting. VC10s, Tristars, All the McDonnel Douglas and Boeing aircraft of course and loads of Tridents, Viscounts, Vanguards, Brittanias, etc. I also visited an airport in Canberra in the mid 70s which was full of DC4s, 6s, 7s.. I saw the Spantax Convairs in Spain. Always wanted to fly a 990, but never got the chance. Great channel. Subbed. Very beautiful images.

Thanks mate. Sigma 150-600mm and tripod. Unfortunately I don't have a decent tool for post stabilization. Otherwise it would be even more steady.

Thanks! Was shot with a Sigma 150-600 on a Canon APS-C DSLR. Should even work better with todays SLRs in 4K.
