I love greek mythology and both stories are really interesting! English is actually pretty easy to learn(coming from a German). There are no cases, no conjunctive, not a lot of variation in the different times etc. Also there’s tons of media you can consume to help contextualize words and their different meanings in certain situations. That’s why all European zoomers have an American accent. Everybody learns English so you can practice it with anyone, and it is the language we use to communicate between the different European languages. Spanish was much harder to learn, even after studying Latin and French.

Agreed. We had to learn English in school from the 2nd grade (coming from Slovakia) as a mandatory subject so when I turned 18 and moved to the UK it was pretty much like speaking it my whole life. The only thing really is the vocab. Cause as Brittany said, there are so many different meanings to words, phrases etc. But other than that thankfully, not that difficult. My dad started learning it in his 40s and still got to a nice level. I really don't speak that many languages, but European ones are pretty hardcore and those are the only ones I can compare English to.
