I have really enjoyed my high arched wheel hoe from Hoss. I use mine mainly for hilling and side dressing my corn and covering drip tape. I plan on picking up a regular double wheel hoe to keep from having to change attachments so much. They're worth every penny!

@Carolyn Fulton I live in northern Michigan I don't grow okra up here when I'm down south I eat it when I used to drive truck I was looking at the tool for my gardens up here. I watch Danny's (Deep South homestead) here because he uses a lot of the old tools and the old techniques the techniques can be still use up here, he is a wealth of knowledge far more than I. I have about a 50 by a hundred feet in this year next year I will have about three and a half acresI need to use all my tools that can to keep up with everything I will pray that your garden will do well and that you can put up all you can. God's blessing 🙏😇

This year I did an okra trial with Burgundy red, Clemson and Jambalaya. Jambalaya far out produced the other 2 but I learned a few tricks I’ll replay from now on. I use drip tape and planted on each 1 ft emitter, because we got an excessive amount of rain this summer I learned that you can grow Jambalaya okra a couple extra inches longer without them getting woody if you water heavily. I also cut each leaf when harvesting each okra. That makes the tight spacing more tolerable

Can you use any of the Hosses tool to bust the original sod to start a garden?
@FreeAmerican3 жыл бұрын
It would be very difficult. You need to plow it once or be in an established garden. You could use tarps to kill the grass on a new plot and it might work.
@denniskemnitz13814 ай бұрын
Get tool out to "work" garden soil when soil moisture is optimum. You can observe optimum soil moisture because the wheel hoe with properly mounted tool "most likely" functions better than a dirt spade or garden hoe. Dennis
