During phase 2 of p8s. Does shield and mit help when resolving phoenix or is it just only healing?

Exceedingly small nitpick: I believe the snapshot for whether or not you get Immortal Conception is when Immortal Spark falls off, which is a fraction of a second before Immortal Conception is applied. I have a log where someone does not receive Immortal Conception as they are topped in the time period between when Spark falls off and the other players get Conception. This has no in-game relevance but is probably useful to anyone doing log analysis.

One thing I dislike in HC2 is when combining birb and ifrit and some cases far away. Some people do that and I’m not sure why. It’s why I have ifrits come to birbs because missing of heals. Great guide as usual tho 👍🏻

That happens naturally because ifrits are taking adds on the outer part of the map and winds are at center resolving towers. Players that get tethered to adds also get bound in place as they get hit by the line AOEs. The towers resolve before the binds wear off = winds can move before ifrit.

It's not that serious man, if you want ifrit to combine closer to the center just tell the PF to do that LMAO. Guides aren't like the 10 commandments

@@rithli but it still doesn’t give a reason why they can’t move to birbs (after being stunned, just move in middle to your birb). As a sage, spamming prognosis, ixochole and that. Not being middle-ish just makes it difficult when so far out of range. Perhaps I been in unlucky groups a lot, but I lost count how many times they just don’t stack 😢

not saying they can't -- what i'm getting at is that because the winds can move first, they naturally reach ifrits first and inadvertently end up stacking near the outside trying to resolve the merge. if healing is an issue there for some reason, all healers have to do is inform people to combine closer to mid but personally i've never encountered a problem there. people tend to move to center after the merge and get healed up just fine.

Rough prio for Ifrit: Melees take west. DPS melee trumps tanks. Of course, you're standing still, so call it to confirm.

Why have ifrits combine so far north? I personally don’t like that as a healer because with people not grouping close enough. (If I get ifrit it’s hard to reach people that are more south). I wish guides would take that into consideration

Yeah, healing this can be tough when ppl hug the edges and don't use their personal cool downs. I'm basically monkaSteer GCD healing the whole time

One of the reasons that Ifrit players combine so far north is that there’s a debuff timer which prevents the Ifrit players from combining at the end if they don’t combine nearly immediately. They can’t go middle because the tower players need to be able to go there, and if they go south then they need to run very quickly to the north corner that’s safe, then sprint again to pick up their adds.

@@zerovolt1406 they can indeed wait a little bit (my group does that sometimes depending on who got the debuffs) also you can combine next to the tower and not north of it. Going just that little extra bit south helps a lot

Guides don't need to take that into consideration because it's pointless. If you need them to wait for whatever reason you're just not managing your cds properly. Boss is not targetable, you have all the time in the world to heal.

@@vaderglenn uh okay, so if I am north of the tower because I’m ifrit and my heals miss the south people because they didn’t come close enough, now I have to babysit ifrits and south people while doing the exact same mechanic as everyone else. It has nothing to do with managing CDs and and more of you are making the healer do extra work when it isn’t necessary. Yeah we survive because I heal the people who were too far out to get heals (which is their problem) but I started yelling at my static to come closer for heals and stack south of the tower (and the blue/purple) go middle.
