He local director must be held jointly responsible for the dissappearance of the money. This is a scam and it happens all the time in Singapore - some at high and others at low levels. The fact that the court found hime liable shows that the court is impartial. He was not given any privileges because of his father. We must also recognise that he is his own man. He made his own decisions and is now responsible for the consequences of his own actions. Whether you like GCT or not, GCT's contribution to Singapore must be seen on its own merits. Now, Dr Goh may have failed in his duties and responsibilities as a director of IPP but so did the other directors but why sue only one person? Sometimes a person is made a director in the belief that he has considerable influence in securing business. This may be real or perceived.
