High & Dry On A Scottish Island - Taking The Boat From Our Cottage On The Isle Of Skye - Ep91

Willie, Sarah and their dogs, Jack Spaniels & Nori, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving suburban life and moving over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
This week, the Skye Lifers have another guest staying in the cottage and they show her what Living The Skye Life is really like - catastrophes and all!
Willie and his friend Bryony head out in our wee boat, Betty, to do some fishing and check the lobster pots. But, as usual, things don't exactly go to plan and they end up racing against the tide to get back to the mooring in time..!
Plus, Sarah makes the most of the beautiful weather to take her bike out on one of the most spectacular (and challenging!) trails on the island and we show you how we preserve our foraged wild mushrooms, to be used throughout the upcoming winter months.

That Billy Connolly imitation was pretty spot on and brought back several very funny memories that happened with my late husband. He was born and raised in Glasgow and came to the states in the early 80s. He introduced me (a Yank) to Indian food and we would go to all the different restaurants around where we lived, and there were a lot of them. Now, he did look a lot like Billy Connolly and I cannot tell you how many times we would get free meals because the waitstaff thought he WAS Billy Connolly, and hubby didn’t want to disappoint them so he just went along with it. We did leave extremely large tips for our waitstaff. These outings were hilarious!!!

We just went through two hurricanes. Milton was extremely scary & stressful. Until 5 pm tonight (Sunday) we had no power. My two Yorkies, Boaz & Zeke, love your show. Especially Jack Spaniels & Norri. Yours is always the last thing we watch before bed on Sunday. So we’ve had no tv and the boys didn’t figure out how to watch on the phone. But the power came back in time and as soon as they heard “Hi Folks!” they came running and barking. Thank you for helping to restore normal for us here in Tampa, Florida ❤ Have a great week.

It looks so amazing when you get those sunny days to freely ride your bike or hike without fear of bears or cougars, ticks , or humans mugging you. Our Florida Super Moons coincide with our "king tides" every time - totally opposite of your low water tidal flows. Gorgeous Sept weather there - was in Oban and Glencoe beginning of August and am jealous since it was pouring rain but still love SCOTLAND!

Mushrooms awe, that's awesome. An Amish family ate poison Mushrooms in Pennsylvania and had to call ambulance's it was 11 people. Learn Your Land is a great place to learn about Mushrooms. Awesome video and your female friend out fished you. I used to out fish men and they would cut my line. Glad you had a nice visit with your friend and Sarah hope your butt recovers. Lol.

OMG - what a treat, the episode about all her paintings in 2022 !!! It's stupendous and mesmerising ! Some lovely weather on Skye at long last. Hope it's not a flash in the pan and you get plenty more autumn sunshine. It was very misty this morning here in central Romania and once the mist cleared it was very cloudy until early afternoon when the sky cleared completely. Only reached 15C in the shade but it was very warm in the sun and I changed into just a pair of shorts to enjoy a mug of cappuccino outside!

What a wild time you and your guest had. Luckily I had eaten by the time I watched your video. Your foods looked so delicious. The drone shots while Willie was on the water were mesmerizing.
