High-End $1 Dollar Tree DIY Trellis Door! | This will WOW you!

I live in a small, historic town and my house is right on the sidewalk where there are a ton of people who walk by my house daily. If my door is open or my curtains are open, people can and will look into my house. It's fine, most times, but there are times it just aggravates me. I think I could tweak this project to make faux shutters for my windows. This way, I can open my curtains to let in sun but block the bottom half of my windows to hamper a view from the sidewalk. It would look pretty and be practical and I could easily remove them if they I don't want them there. Great ideas and beautiful project, as usual!

I lived in Jasper, Alberta back in the 90's. My apartment was ground floor with lots of people walking by all the time too. My roomie and I hit a sale at a local church. We bought white sheets, tie dyed them & hung them on the bottom half of the windows. We completed our look with other vintage kitschy pieces like tea towels from the 60's, artwork etc. It was cool for a couple of 20 somethings. This is much more grown up. Love it!

Looks lovely but it’s too flimsy as is to be attached with hinges. You could redesign it using more substantial wood trim and nails maybe.

Oh my goodness...I just had the most wonderful "lightbulb" moment watching this video! I found a tri-fold screen with a wood frame at Goodwill several months ago. It had small spring loaded curtain rods holding fabric in each of the openings. I knew I didn't want to do fabric, but wasn't coming up with any other good ideas. Then your video came along. I think with a few tweaks, I can use the DT garden fencing to create a similar look. I am beyond excited!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

I love it!! I would use it inside for Christmas, draping the tiniest lights on it, and put it on display....and then during the Summer i would put a small pot of flowers near it. It's beautiful.

Officially WOW'd! I would totally make 3 if them, add hinges and make a room divider. It just that top square is so pretty on its own hang that in a window and grow air ferns on it. LOVE, Love, love it!

It came out beautiful! I bought a bunch of these trellises on clearance so I can use some to make this this. I might even cut a plastic planter in half and add it to the bottom wood piece and add flowers.

I used those garden pieces as decorations around the top of my screen porch . They look like those expensive wood cutouts. I painted them white. They helped in making my house look like a lil cottage.

Wow, Shannon, The other day I saw this piece in the corner of your house when I was actually watching a different video. I recognized the faux rod iron trim and assumed you biughtbthat, cut it down to size to FIT INTO AN OLD DOOR OR SHUTTER and I think I mentioned that to you. Until I saw this video today, found it by accident this Sunday morning. Your DIY just amaze me! The other day I screen swiped this when I saw it in the corner of your house thinking if I found an old screen door I can mimic the idea. Now I see all the wood is new. I am blown away. I would love to make 2bmatching ones such as this ti out on each side of a porch door where the door goes into the house so it is protected from the elements outside. I absolutely love this. Wherever your wedding reception is going to be, if inside, you should make 2 of these to be on each side of a door way but paint the wood part a nice bright white. I think that would be nice to stand in the door way with these on each side with your dress and your hubby. The possibilities are endless how to use this. My mom as you know gas terminal cancer and I am presently staying in her house. Outside of having my own room and a few pieces of my furniture being in her dining room her house is filled to the max with Ethan Allen furniture and a few eclectic pieces and antiques. I am redoing the inside of her porch in a nautical vibe. I am trying to think how I can make one of these or 2 and use them. I definitely am saving this. One day will down load my cell phone ideas into my computer when I figure out how to do that. 🤔 I feel like going to the Dollar store and buying a few of these garden trim pieces bring afraid one day they will be no more.🥰 I definitely want to make 2 of these I always like things in 2 to have a pair either to trim out a door way or have one caddy corner in one corner and one in the other. I just had abrasion storm too. Oh,boy, that is dangerous. How about if you have a piece of the trim at the top of the faux rod iron and a piece framed out at the bottom and just wood in the middle or.......your lattice framed out like a photo frame but long like you have but the rod iron all thru the middle but maybe that would be too flimsy. Wow! Very impressive yet very simple, I absolutely love it! I would use it either indoors or out. I would paint mine a medium brown then a then a creamy off white color and finally sand the edges to give it that antique look. That’s just me though. ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
