I see you got slightly different steps now. It's just lever open, 1 open (blended in with half guard) and 1.5 open (blended/detailed with 1 guard open) Is that what you use for all your fades now???

What’s up big homie how long do you usually take on hair cuts? I’m averaging 45 min. Is that bad that I take this long. Reason I ask is because some people I cut feel like I should be faster like great clips fast. But I like to take my time and try to deliver the best cut possible(well the best I can do anyways). No knock towards great clips but I don’t always see the best quality when I see cuts from the stylist. I’m fairly new to the game so any advice would be great. Thanks.

45 mins for a beginner is pretty good tbh. Anything under 30 mins is rushed and won’t look as good ( unless you a master barber ). Take your time bro u will find your sweet spot👍

45 min is a good time especially if you haven’t been cutting for that long. I usually take anywhere from 20-30 min on a cut but that’s with over 10 years of experience.

now, you say detail work. like every other barber does. but to an untrained ear, what does detail work mean? do you mean attacking this dark spot? do you mean going over with it with the same guard? do you mean flicking the wrist at the haircut? no one gets into really depth about what detail works mean? it might be so common in the barber shop among other barbers but what does detail work mean and show work of detail for. like get a close up of what you did in this detail work.
