Have to totally agree. Watched some other video before where they guy said high fov is important to have laser beam aim with way less recoil. But its way easier to aim at people with low fov.

I think you’ve summed it up perfectly 👌🏻 especially towards the end, you spent the past 4 years playing low fov and thus learned how to play aggressive with it. I’d definitely say it would be a change for me to play with low fov instead of high fov.

Will take some time to get good with it but long range ability is the biggest skill gap in battlefield. Can get way more kills at range than at close range over the course of a game. Think I’m high fov how many enemies you see at range but you know u can’t do anything. Low fov you have the ability to challenge way more people you can see no matter how far away they are and this means your kill potential per game is very high. Also means less time running to get close to your targets and more time actually shooting and getting kills

I use high fov but like everyone is tiny and i always loose gun fights cus theyre so small but when i play a low fov i feel like im gonna get sick

Lower FOV is so much for the exact reasons you mentioned........ Enemies dont appear as tiny dots....... games these days already are made purposely to have terrible visibility so playing on a higher fov makes it impossible to see them

Now i have 70 fov in game equal to 87fov global setting. I snipe a lot, and it's good with all kind of weapons. Tomorrow i will try a lower fov and see if i flick easier with the sniper. It think it will be awkward a bit to recon around lol. With very low fov

Was hoping to see you running a game on higher FoV than usual 👀 You're one of the very few players I feel manages to play to a high level on the default FoV. Obviously FoV is a scale, which means running at default 55 means you're going to have intense pros and cons of that end of the scale. Generally low spacial awareness, clunky movement, favouring a passive playstyle and struggling with (perceived) recoil control. I change settings far too frequently, often multiple times just in one game (FoV, sensitivities, colours, Deadzones, etc) but have spent the past 2 weeks on comfortable settings which are high FoV with reasonably high sensitivities, and by checking BFvStats (tracker) I've seen improvement with my accuracy. Yesterday however during a boring lobby I switched my settings down to 79FoV. Coming from 105 to that impacted me massively, I've never camped that hard in the game 😂 went 26-0 in a slow Underground game but found my accuracy had dropped alot with the settings, even using weapons better suited to the change. I stopped wanting to push flanks or constantly pressing chokepoints and begun dropping to cover whenever I knew enemies were starting to push. If you stick to Tactical CQ, max FoV can be something most can adjust to. You try to position or avoid long sightlines more but aim can feel smoother going between enemies a distant apart.

Maybe I will try a video titled low FOV noob tried high FOV for the first time 😆 Yeah no high or low is really best as they both suit different styles so maybe the best is actually the middle ground. But practice can make any style work in any situation. My biggest point though always is the ability at range and low is massive because I’m those close quarters maps you don’t need to see left or right when the parts of the map you play in are so small you don’t see anything extra anyways.

My guy....... its not that serious or deep it comes down to higher fov its harder to see enemies.... Lower fov enemies appear as normal size...... you can push and do anything you want on both fov also..... "by checking BFvStats (tracker) I've seen improvement with my accuracy."...... Comes down to the people you are playing against, if you play against bad players of course you will have better stats..... stats dont have as much meaning as you would like

The stat tracker is very useful honestly and yes you may play worse players but it depends how long you try those new settings for as the average should be the same over a longer distance of time as you should face good and bad players when trying any type of settings

@@leonydus9889 Obviously it's subjective. But spend some time on 74FoV or below and then some time on 90-105FoV, and you'll find yourself leaning into the benefits of what that FoV focuses. With lower FoV, that sense of slow clunky movement but great medium range sight has you holding positions more. With higher FoV, the speed you feel with movement vastly overshadows your ability to hold an angle. It does impact your playstyle. There's even comp level players who will change their FoV depending on if they're playing B flag medic (CQC) or A/C with assault/support. High or low FoV is an attribute that either you play to the strengths it offers or find one that suits your playstyle. As for the stats, if you've played 2k+ hours on the game, you get a vibe for what your accuracy is like and realise when it's +5% higher or lower than you usual. Obviously the main thing is you feel how you performed and alot of other factors such as the balance of the lobby, your playstyle in that game, etc.

I tryed to play with Low fov and high fov and I found that I play a lot more better with max fov because I can kill headglitch on big range with ZK without burst tapping, because recoil on low fov is uncontrollable and for me it’s a lot more better to play with max fov also because I’m really close to my monitor while playing and with high fov I just feel my character in the space a lot more controllable and I can predict my movement better with it. I am a competitive player and recoil control is really important there and sometimes in gunfight against player with assault or support(less recoil than ZK383) I just don’t have time to burst tap against them because in this situation I need to get the fastest TTK that is even possible 😅. But the minimum fov that I can play normally is 94, below this for me is unplayable. If I want to play A/C with support or assault with “Lean” playstyle I just put ADS “OF” and I can see the same good as 55fov 👍

Yeah I get that. Both Low and High are good and no one specifically is best. It depends on your playstyle and also the game modes you play. Like competitive you said. And almost every pro has a direct con. Like the less recoil to be able to shoot people on a head glitch at full auto is huge like you said. But also on high FOV you can struggle to see people as quick on a head glitch and you may be slower to react and shoot first in the gunfight. Maybe the middle ground is the best all round but both high and low can be great 👌🏻

@@Wilko_Diablo if you are close to your monitor you can see the same as low/mid fov, and about reaction idk because for me crosshair placement is the thing that is always helping me with the situations in which i need to react fast, because tbh I don’t have that good reaction time 😅

Totally get you. And you mostly play close range maps so sitting close means you can still see long range targets. I think if you played the bigger maps however you would notice the difference. All down to playstyle and game modes and maps for sure 👍🏻

Great vid buddy, I run 90 FOV with high sens and have a 4.7 k/D soldier only. Most of the pro's use a higher FOV which is why I like your style as you are the black sheep who can pull off a low FOV and still be a weapon. I tried a low FOV and sens my accuracy was better but I found I would die as normally when I would push I have the ability to maneuver into cover and turn quickly enough to counter campers. With the low FOV and Sens I immediately found I was more reserved and methodical with my approach. Here's my question, have you played against other top players? How did you do? Most like Jordy maxiq etc are opposite to you.

Great comment. And yes I’ve played against max iq, Jordy and others in pubs not competitive to be said truthfully and have done fairly well and killed them as many times as they have killed me. Of course I play much slower and so I am able to kill them much easier as I don’t get caught out running as often and I usually played against them with non meta weapons while they used the ZK or Sturm. But like I said both styles can be used be at the top level of battlefield. I’ve done 100+ kills with every gun on 55 FOV and that’s not to brag but it’s direct evidence of what is possible even on 55 FOV and I don’t think anyone else on any platform as recorded has done that

@@Wilko_Diablonice man, I wasn't questioning your skill by the way hopefully it didn't come across that way. 100 plus kills is very difficult and to have done it on most maps with all guns is insane! I get you about the other players and it's true what you say as much as I like them they tend to use OP guns and to be pretty equal against them with lesser used guns is no ioke. Another question if u don't mind, how do you fair on the more hectic game modes like breakthrough or rush on your settings??

No I didn’t take it that way don’t worry. I’ve played 4 years now so hectic maps and game modes are no problem for me. I had my first game of brake through for over a year last week on wake island and hit 150 kills and have made that a video which is ready for upload. So you will get to see that eventually 👌🏻

First of al DICE is the fool on the PC to make it 55% and that is not the old 90 Hor. And there is a sweetspot that one. But in battlefield games its 74%= 90 horizontal. And if you still play on a 1080p with a new games like BFV then you ask for small heads.

When i play Medic in have a FOV of 90 (with ZK) with then tommy you can also play 80 or 85, as Assault and Supply i allways play with 80 FOV for example the bren with a 3 x Scope works way better with a low FOV

Whatever is comfortable for you but I believe lower is needed to be best at long range which is what I think you need to get high kill games consistently in battlefield
