For me 14 and now 71. This version is the best. At my "ceremony " after my cremation, as part of the celebration of my life, I am going to have played on several large screen TVs, three David Gilmour songs from this concert in this order: The Blue, Comfortably Numb and High Hopes. While I have too many PF favorites, these three are my favorites in video format. Live in Gdansk is simply phenomenal! I have been blessed to have seen them many times over my lifetime. What incredible talents they ALL have!!! Bless all....

This version of High Hopes is by far the best one. The synergy between classical orchestra and the band is unreal. DG hits all cords at the perfect time. Even the end when the orchestra is fading away the sound of the guitar is coming to the forefront more is iconic. Well done sir. Well done.

Every chord Gilmour plays, and every note he sings is just freaking amazing. He does everything perfectly. No other musician can tap into my emotions like David Gilmour’s guitar and his voice. He always has my emotions all over the place when I listen to him, from way back in Pink Floyd early days, all the way to Gilmour’s solo career. Theeeee best!

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young In a world of magnets and miracles Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary The ringing of the division bell had begun Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway Do they still meet there by the Cut There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps Running before times took our dreams away Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground .........................................

the amazing fact is that David originally composed and played the song in 1994(Division Bell) when he was 48. Now after 15 years (he is 62)is playing this song live even better and more emotional. Only the very recent versions he's been performing since 2005, have that acoustic solo. In previous performances he only did the Slider solo. He has always been in "Top 50 Guitarist of All Time" list. my most favourite guitarist after SLASH

Amazing. What a musician Dave Gilmour is. Richard Wright giving it the legs it needs too without overshadowing the guitar playing and Orchestra. What Richard Wright was the best at - Giving the song some vigour without interrupting. Never stole the limelight but was more pivotal in these songs than anyone could imagine. RIP RW.

when it comes down to it, Gilmour, 65 still can sing, still can play, is a humble amazing performer/musician, and like a fine wine is pure taste and style, waters is an amazing conceptualizer, who didnt give into the music industry and followed his artistic vision, no matter what. we can learn and admire both of them for doing what both are good at. and personally, I am thankful and inspired by both. High hopes is the full stop at the end of the pink floyd story.

There will forever be unresolvabale debate and argument over who is "the best" guitarist ever, but what i will say is that ive never heard a guitarist who can transmit such EMOTION through his playing and solos, his solos truly make you FEEL something, hes not just trying to show you what a good guitarist he is (cough Clapton cough), all he seems to do is feel the mood of the song and take you away with a beautiful emotional solo that always seems to match perfectly, he is truly stunning. Hendrix was certainly at the same level emotionally but good lord David truly is the master, in my humble, meaningless opinion
