The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says successive governments over the decades have relied on high immigration to “artificially” push the economy forward and it is now at the stage where it is no longer working.
“It is not just Labor … over the decades governments have relied on high immigration just to artificially push the economy along,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“It has got to the stage where it is not working anymore, there are too many people and even the treasurer has admitted there is a housing crisis.”

Australia deserves better politicians, who can competently run the country rather than having to rely on immigration to prop up the economy. We have an abundance of recourses, which we should be making the most of.

Dutton is a good politician but some of the Libs politicians are leftists, and this is a problem for Dutton. For this reason Dutton has to choose the right people to support his decisions.

Although I have interests in global economics I don't watch the news anymore... I have enough FUD lol. Thanks for this news and offering your insight on how to navigate during unfortunate times/events like this. You're right about keeping level headed when investing so that's why I think it's important to limit the amount of FUD we consume. I don't watch the media but the news that you present has enough to know issues going on without riding the emotional rollercoaster if I were to watch the news everyday. Now I buy and just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 16 btc from day trading with Kerrie Farrell in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish....

We owe Trillions, but now we have a new $288 million allowance to ID us all, that has to be a government indulgence and not a necessity! Every house, caravan and tent gets a small power rebate that they've already spent and there are admin costs! There is nothing for our rent paying pensioners who are unable to work! There is nothing for the farmers and small business, who need to invest more to progress! Immigration, many quality people with skills are waiting for visas, but we are importing more welfare and medicare dependents instead! There is no hope in the budget, nor for this bloody big spending, power hungry boy govt! A) Food, B) Shelter, C) Health!

Australia needs a new political party that prioritizes the interests of Australians, akin to a MAGA-type party. We need a party that can secure a Pension Fund similar to Norway's Government Pension Fund Global. Or one that can negotiate deals comparable to Qatar's-despite having less gas than us, they pay 0 tax. Instead, we see millions of lower-qualified migrants being imported under the guise of addressing a skills shortage. This is nonsense. Labor ensures they bring in future voters to maintain their power. They force people to rely on grants, making them dependent and ensuring they vote for Labor. It's time to wake up, Peter Dutton. Are you just another globalist looking out for your future golden payout, like so many politicians do after leaving office?

A resource rich nation like Australia should have near free energy bills for both households and businesses and it takes some truly dedicated treachery and sabotage to resort to strategies like this that affect every Australian to the point they cant find houses in their own nation. Australia doesn't need out of control immigration, it needs good leadership
