HIGH INTEREST SAVINGS ACCOUNTS | DIGITAL BANKS PH: CIMB AND ING | Best banks in the Philippines?

I decided to talk about just these 2 banks, as they were the Pioneers in Digital Banking in the Philippines. Definitely a lot of new ones (mostly by traditional banks like EastWest, RCBC, Unionbank, Landbank), but I will have to do more research about them myself. Let me know what your experiences are with other High Interest Savings Accounts/Digital banks!

That is only for Gsave right that there is a validity. How about the Gcash balance? Do I need to download the CIMB app or no need?

Gibson Balbarada yes! Just for GSave/Save Money feature. GCash doesn’t have the same limits but they have different tiers with different benefits, too (Basic, Semi-verified, & Fully verified)

Im using CIMB gsave. I have both Fast plus and GSAVe account YoU can transfer funds to your fast plus account from cimb app from your gsave account if you need to withdraw cash. the best is that theres no Withdrawal fee on ATM!!

I have both digital banks, I mainly use ING for emergency savings but CIMB/GSave for emergency funds. CIMB/GSAVE provides more convenience for me because it's more convenience for me to cash-in and bank transfer unlike ING. But I like both, way higher interest rate gain than traditional banks.

I hope you won't be bothererd by the comments who complains about how slow you're speaking.. i think its just fine.. viewer/listener friendly, easy to understand, not too slang(very pinoy english feels except that you're doing it much better) I've been sending and recommending your videos to my (young)friends, i think for starters they won't feel too left out.. anyways keep it cool on handling the not too kind comments. Also, in cimb you can apply for a debit card..as long as you maintain a certain amount, you'll be qualified to apply for it. Had mine this week.

I have opened ING account last year but only deposited it just recently. That is my greatest regret so far. I was kind of hesitant for months and just decided to finally deposit it this month. But anyway, moving forward I want to use my ING acct for longterm savings while ung emergency funds naman sa traditional bank (bpi) since mas convenient cya. Thanks for this very informative video, I deposited more to my ING just now since today is the last day na walang fee ung bank transfer. Haha

I have a good amount of money in the bank(BDO), I use both GCash and PayMaya but with my own research and with the help of you and Nicole, I decided to open up a CIMB account. I've seen the licences and everything but beause it seems too good to be true, I'm honestly still skeptical. So far though, getting an account was VERY fast. Just like getting verifed on GCash was. Considering the average inflation rate of PH is at 4% you are still loosing money if you stack it into digital banks at 3-3.5%, interest p.a. but it's a lot better than traditional banks. It's just so funny how these banks use our money and lend it to other people with riduculous interest rates and they only give you 1.25 - 2.25% in return. Malooy intawn mo haha. Hi. You all should consider investing in mutual fund investment that yields 8-12 percent per annum compared to banks that yield only 0.25. One can invest for as low as 1000 pesos.

This is very informative. I personally been using CIMB since last year and I’ve been having great experience with it ever since. Just to share, it’s very convenient if you have both gsave/upsave and fast account in CIMB cause it would allow you to withdraw your money anytime via ATM and still earn higher interest rate. You could save your money in gsave/upsave so you would earn more then just transfer it to fast using their app if you need to withdraw.
