Jester. You forgot to include to break pirates dagger with a mouth shot. It is of the utmost importance to break their dagger before usage.

Interesting to see someone else's take on this. My own thoughts were that tyrant and pirate are both difficult classes for duelist, especially good tyrants who are just a nightmare to fight against. I was glad to see someone else vindicating me on this.

I just feel that the game is backwards in terms of how you would swordfight. Really you would want to do the opposite. Control their blade by using your base and their tip. I like the look of the game but i cant shake that wierdness

The devs actually tested the other way around, where the highest damage came from the base of the sword, but was deemed not as fun

you can technically get a higher awakening with legacy if you go max speed when compared to the other two going max speed

Legacy is personally my favorite, it makes feints so much better and I dont get my sword broken. Its especially good at lunges, for those of us that got the room it is a game changer to be able to lunge basically as fast as you can, got most of my stabs that way edit: u can also completely break axis while keeping awaken, in my best scenarios I was able to completely blind side by doing a sort of large haymaker, they never expect it the 1st time

What is this "Axis"?

Its actually just the motion of your hilt going up,down,left, right, or any combination of those. The motion has to be big enough and the tip of the sword needs to move less than the hilt.

What would you say is the best approach to fighting ronin? Every time i beat him i feel like it was more down to my luck than skill, so im curious whats your approach to fighting him.

Its tough. I would say try to bait them putting out their blade from their sheath and then when they have to put it back in to recharge, attack them IMMEDIATELY. You won't win a pure cut battle so its best to focus on maxing awaken or catching them of guard with the first thing I mentioned

They are also easy to bodytap if they are aggressive so aim real high and low when going for taps
