It's good to stay at the Chelsea Hotel any time of year. My favorite hotel , as a native New Yorker, i recommend, Freehand Hotel at 23rd St and Lexington Ave, just steps from Gramercy Park and the Flatiron area..Easily accessible to walk any and everywhere with great shopping etc.@jessicaalberico9309

Yes, we think so. It's closed when there's significant snow or ice. It can get cold up there when it's windy in particular but there is a calmness in the wintertime that's hard to find any other time of year.

I find these tours quite educational and informative. What I can do without however is this guide's constant giggling at her own comments. It clearly distracts from the experience and makes the tour a little amateurish.The guide clearly knows her history and seems very enthusiastic about her work. I think a little less giggling would elevate, much like the High Line, the tour to a whole new level.
