I love my 2008 toaster, boxer whatever with manual transmission, on 225/40/18 tires. It has over 200k now and is still going strong. The original AC still blows ice cold. Never left me stranded, bought new since 2008 original owner.

On my 3rd XB, 04, 05, and 06. 04 500,000 miles as a courier, 06 350,000 courier /retiree, now have the 05 got with 210,000 and now 230,000. All manuals , 1 new transmission, other wise maintained well. Loved 'em all. It's a Toyota, reliable and if you like quieky, simple and reliable, they are a can't miss.

My 2006 xB is clocking at 338K now and going strong. Uses a tiny bit of oil between changes, but nothing major. It's been super well cared for, though. Also, mine is a stick, which I really prefer. Also, I'm 6'3"!

Mine is catching up at 294k now lol... Mine uses a quart of oil every 700-800 miles though... I'm gonna attribute that to a terrible lack of maintenance before I got it at 262k ... Minimal oil consumption (1L every 6000km or so), long term fuel trim under 2%, and still gets 40MPG in the city. Beautiful remark about the kia soul. Don't confuse us!! Mine has over 200,000. Stck shift and only now is asking for a new clutch. There is a lot of high mileage heroes, my 94 and 96 c1500. Both over 300,000 miles and a 2000 dakota 225,000. But definitely my mini fridge (scion xb) is the best.

It's almost like cared for or not... The scions reliability is unmatched.... Mine is an auto and the first time I changed the transmission fluid it was blacker than the oil and still worked fine! And a small block Chevy is an engine I've always joked... As long as it will spin it will run! They are damn near indestructible too! Now mine is a manual and hers is automatic. One thing to note. My manual just went out with 265k on it. Engine still runs strong. The manual transmissions are not easy to come by! I finally found one and I’m installing it this weekend. There is no replacement! The manual was made for that engine and that engine only. You can’t put any other one in it. So with my wife’s having 334,000 on it, I would say the automatics are bullet proof almost. No issues whatsoever. Hoping this manual that I’m putting in lasts another 265k!!

I have a cosmetically beat up 05 XB… would it be cheaper to buy one that looks nice or to get a couple of small dents fixed, spoiler, door lock actuators, windows get stuck, new wheels, and a paint job on my current one? Ones in good condition (much nicer looking than mine) and a few more miles can be found around me in the $5k+ range.

When I picked mine up the passenger side had been ran down a guard rail at some point and was missing both sides of the ground effects and one of the rear flaps for the ground effects and the front bumper was all cracked to death.... It took me a couple of years to piece it back together...I used the Facebook groups for a lot of the little parts and pieces and a lot of good guidance with it... As long as yours runs good... It's worth fixing in my opinion... Depending on the work it needs... It's usually still cheaper than a car payment! Thanks for watching!

I did that on last tune up.... unfortunately it was abused before I got it and didn't get regular oil changes so I know the rings are hurt... But I appreciate the advice! Thanks for watching!

108hp 105lb of torque scares me. Especially if you have many passengers and/or weight in the back. How does it do going up in the mountains?
@Midnightautorepair

I've never had an issue in the mountains with it other than wishing for more HP from time to time... It's very stable given it's size... I've hauled more than a few car engines in the back lol... Thanks for watching!

Mine is a 2005 Scion XB about 295,000+ miles on it. It still runs good just rusty auto body. I don't want to get rid of it just because of the rust.

That's where mine was at when I picked it up....I had a passenger rear frame rail I had to reconstruct where the spring perch was and since have had to cut and replace the rocker panels too... I'm now at 291k so you have a few thousand more miles than I do! Love to see it's still going! Thanks for watching!

ive herd of guys swapping 1.8s from corollas but theres not much room for anything bigger...a turbo on the 1.5 would probably make it a pretty peppy car to drive though!
