An after the mods i do which are not crazy by any means it will be even better ! But for sure intake switch to what a 330 i has ! God bless to all of you in this crazy world !

Hey man I’m currently in high school and looking to upgrade. I was wondering how well does the 325i hold up? Would you recommend it?

I have the same exact color and interior! I love my 325i, I got mine last year with 60,000 miles on it. I’ve put nearly 20,000 on it so far going strong.

Very important question I have for you. Did you ever change transmission fluid? Or coolant? Trying to figure out this BMW lifetime thing (coolant and trans. fluid).
@TheBigNate5056 жыл бұрын
same question here. I have 135,000 miles and an experienced mechanic from the shop explained how it would be worse to change the ATF instead of not changing it at all.
@ptalley55 жыл бұрын
@@TheBigNate505 I changed the ATF (and pan/filter) at 125,xxx and then did the transmission reset & relearn procedure with INPA... let me tell you it's an amazing difference. Highly recommend. Now at 146,xxx and going strong. Only irritation with the car now is it's still burning ~a quart every 3k mi or so.
@TheBigNate5055 жыл бұрын
@@ptalley5 same here with the oil burning. I would have done the ATF change if it was easier and less risky. I read up on a forum with a dude who has 180k miles on the same transmission without a ATF change and he said his transmission is doing fine. Guess I'll just hope to get lucky!
@sudhirkalapala5 жыл бұрын
My mechanic recommends ATF change at 100,000. I had to replace a small plastic pin (shift) inside mechatronic unit at which time he topped off drained fluid. A couple of quarts. The dealer says that was ATF change. It runs so much smoother now. I have 123,000 miles now. Runs great.

I own a Volvo.. were supposed to do them at 30/80k depending on what transmission.. And it’s okay to drain and re full, but it’s not okay to do a flush at that age. I had a Camaro with 256k miles... I flushed instead of draining.. then my car couldn’t grab gears 😂😩
@screekid5 жыл бұрын
That actually does run pretty well with that mileage...

Lmfao, that's wassup. I also got a 2006 325i and I'm at 220k now. It runs fine. All fluids have been changed and all control arms have been replaced. Now I'ma do some preemptive work like new coils, plugs, vanos and belt. The only issue I have at the moment is fuel injector 4 causing a misfire. The iDrive is failing (any idea why?), it keeps rebooting so I doubt its a fuse. Either way I'm thinking of retro fitting one of them car plays. Besides that the only codes I get are the same ones seen in this video; tpms adaptive headlights and airbags. I get low voltage codes too but I have aftermarket head and taillights. If I have enough $$$ left over I'm for sure gonna get a piggyback tune, sprint booster and of them Carly adapters. 😎

@backyardadvocate93778 ай бұрын
I’ve an ‘06, xi Wagon..6 manual with 188K, and could own a Maserati with the money pit the plastic fantastic crap has caused.. Darn fob failed early on, affecting door locks, radio… Never abused, as my Service K9 is worth more than me & the car. The main aggravation is the car has ALWAYS been maintained - was the great Salesman’s wife’s car, BUT has been a nightmare starting around 160K- even the damn light lenses MELT!!… But, my God, the low-slung profile and steering are the sweetest thing on a Shenandoah drive. But would I trust another used BMW? HELL NO!!! I won’t blame the mechanics. But, BMW, you seriously let this Marine down, much as i love this Wagon. If she could talk, she’d tell you, herself.🕉
