I used to work in the polymer industry for years and I never thought I'd see these materials 3d printed, great work

3DX Tech is my go to for filaments. I've had so many issues w/ others brands then I decided to try them, all my problems went away. Their ASA is simply badass.

100% agreed, that's why we sell it at visionminer.com/materials -- our 1st choice!

The man knows his business. Has plenty of my money. I'm going to try the PPSU. Been printing with PEEK, PEKK, and 9085 in 90c chamber lately. The PEEK prints so sweet. Less stringy than the other 2 but the layer bonding is the biggest inconsistency and it will lift. PEKK wins over all for me as it doesn't warp like 9085 and PEEK and makes a kick ass, real life usable part. Only drawback is dimensional accuracy can be tricky to nail down. Have to scale about 1.02 times in xy depending on xy relationship but it does shrink back up to get you in the ball park after annealing. Need to mechanically hold thin sections down too when annealing. If you need to get within .01" plan on 2 or 3 tries to get it dialed in. Of course if your chamber can get you close to the Tg then all those issues are mitigated.

how bad does it smell and worse, ketone (MEK has killed people) how long have you had lung cancer?

I did do a review on an awesome TPU recently that did print fine on my Ender 3 and it really impressed me.

I find it so impressive such a small filament can be transfomred into such strong parts, what would be the strongest filament you have that a ender3 could use?

CFPA6 ---- or PCTG. For higher temps, CFPA6. For incredible layer adhesion, PCTG. visionminer.com/materials :)

Howsit Guys, So excited about all these high performance printers and filaments. I love printing with PLA but it is not strong enough and these filaments are awesome, unfortunately, I don't think my Ender 3 will print these.

Yeah, you really need a dedicated machine made entirely of metal to achieve the consistent chamber temps required.... you could do some upgrades, like a Slice Mosquito, and do very small parts, but overall.... need the heat! :)

they next one down is carbon polycarb and with an all metal hot end (pref enclosed) you can do it

I hope one day to build a printer than can do ultem or Peek.

So if you want a generic cheaper version of Ultem, go with 9085. No, if I’m going for Ultem I want or am going to use Ultem. Price difference just because you cut the Ultem is probably not that much difference either. Time to research, be back with my conclusion

9085 is actually more expensive -- and farrrrr easier to print. It's also better for impact resistance --- pure PEI tends to be much more brittle.

For a generic cheaper version of ultem, you could just use PSU :)

Ultem1000 is the cheapest resin
@Gilmore3044 жыл бұрын
Cheapest resin? Gotta believe you however I can tell you from hands on it is the cleanest (1k). All the other versions are brownish looking or some you can even see debris or shades. Ultem 1000 looks yellowish and when vapor polished is completely clear no disruptions in the material. FACTS. Send me a link disqualifying information?
