@lordbyron36034 жыл бұрын
R L I wouldn’t make that generalization. The Williams sisters came from a very poor economically poor background from Compton.... a Black neighborhood in Southern California. Djokovic, Nadal and Federer from the lower to middle class . The Chinese from a communist class. I’d say most came from low to middle class. I’ve never heard of a top rank player that came from the upper class or rich class. They eventually became super rich. The Williams sister came from a very poor class and reached the highest super wealthy class!

I have a problem/question for these kinds of power drills. I love them but theyre all putting the ball away like its a killer finishing shot. But during a ralley in a real match ones mindset is seldom like that. So the applicability of these powerdrills into a real match is small it seems. Maybe combine these drills with high percentage hits instead of killer shots? Im looking for a way to bring some of my powerdrill confidence into real matches

TennisTroll: "Consistently", there's a key word. If that's the requirement they may not get a break. But at our club with the top juniors, I don't don't see them getting breaks before about 50 balls.
@germanslice4 жыл бұрын
@@notsohandytim5090 I had a national coach and the basket holds about 100 balls so The Coach makes you go through the whole basket then he lets you take a break. But if you only half way through it and if you try to stop to take a rest he keeps on feeding in the ball and tells you you can't stop until the basket is finished. So its like this training, but this is more faster because the coach is right beside the player dropping in the balls. I think its effective high intensity training.

This is interesting the way the coach feeds the ball by simply dropping them in, it fine tunes hitting in the sweet spot. where most coaches stand on the other side of the net to try to feed to the sweet spot which is much more harder for the player to line it up, where here, the ball lines up with the racquet and its much easier to generate the pace.

They play wristy shots close to the body. When you watch next-gen tour players a lot of them have a fully extended arm on the forehand contact point, far from the body which generates massive pace. Jannik Sinner is a perfect example. I agree hitting a forehand like the first dude can't be good for the body long term.
@TheOliveBranch74 жыл бұрын
@@matthewadams4097 watch any world class player in slow motion, and you will see their technique is extremely similar. I mean world class players like federer, Djokovic, even Nadal with his terrible injury prone technique is pretty similar, if analyzed in slow motion. The full extension of the arm, meaning a larger radius from the body, leading to a larger force output, is essential, in producing pace without exerting too much effort
