Shooting coats and vests. Most don’t say so on the label, but another way to spot them is and extra stitched-in pad area on one of the front shoulders, where the butt of the rifle/shotgun is held against the shooter, while firing. The extra padding helps soften the recoil for a day of shooting.

Goodwill DID double their prices. I've had talks many of the store managers to tell them that I will be cutting back my GW shopping going forward and attending a weekly auction instead where I get better pricing and the goods aren't picked over by GW first. In my market GW has raised its prices by as much as 200% overnight.

Another great video Karen! I love Sunday morning, I get all settled with my coffee and watch your new upload! Just wanted to caution you with the jerseys. We sell primarily sports memorabilia, and we have had a few issues through the years with Nike on eBay. Sometimes jerseys are faked and in some cases it’s really hard to tell if they are genuine. Nike watches eBay very closely! We actually got a suspension, and I’m still not convinced that our jersey was fake (I think it was an error on their part) we have backed off selling jerseys on eBay cause we don’t want to risk this happening again!

I want to tell you what I got two weeks ago at a garage sale, an older couple who had just sold their home to move up north near family had a couple nice items in the drive way. I saw a desk. Like an entry hall desk. It’s costal Decor. I wanted it for my hall bathroom. It’s a large bathroom and I can put the desk in there an keep jewelry in the drawers. Finally we got the desk moved it. And my husband noticed the tag on the back, it’s pier 1. So I know the desk was very expensive. It was obvious it’s great quality. Probably $500 is my guess. The couple had it marked $20. I said I like your desk, the husband said if you take it with you today it’s $15. Then the wife said and you can have this swan, a beautiful swan she had setting in the desk. I sold the swan and made $10. So now my desk is really $5. Five dollars for a pier 1 desk. My kind of deal. I told my daughter when she buys a home she can have it. Yes, I have a beautiful daughter living in Florida too. She’s a student at university Florida. In a year she will be a pharmacist. You just never know what kids are going to do. So proud of her. I know you are proud of your beautiful daughter too, she is lovely! And so smart ! I have learned so much from watching her videos. She’s a fantastic reseller. And Bear is so talented too. You are blessed with a beautiful family. It Funny my daughter always has wanted a big house. So I hope she gets her big house. I’ll deliver the costal desk to her and find another jewelry holder for my bathroom. Maybe she will have a room in that big house for us to stay with her when we visit. Maybe. Lol. I like this haul. Those Christmas items are great sellers. I have done well on mercari with those type items. Really joyed seeing you bow. He is super nice! And handsome! He’s a keeper, God bless you both! Leslye

We cannot complain about goodwill raising their prices. We are the cause. They know resellers will pay for that $5 item. Also employees get first dibs despite what you hear that they don’t. Employees take a lot of the good stuff.

My largest Goodwill has lost their minds on pricing, it's so discouraging It used to be Salvation Army but now I go there more often and they at least will do discount days which Goodwills in my area do not. I can only hope Goodwill starts to feel the pain of no sales but not hopeful. I am terrified of the bins but may have to brave it again.The afghan was gorgeous and great job on your sales.

According to the GM I spoke to at my local GW they raise prices because they know resellers will pay. And since Goodwills are flooded with resellers they have no problem putting $10 on a dress when they know some resellers will pay that. Which means if I want to go there and pick up a pair of pants for work I have to pay that $10. Uh no thanks.
