Not only are High Pulp keeping Jazz alive but they’re also doing it well and keeping it fresh in the process.

I love the beautiful cover of the excellent Mere song (what a great album is Solanin!), but the Cortex cover is THE BOMB! LOVE, love, love the sax performances--and the effects engineering employed on them! You own me!

@@maniswolftoman True dat. I really want to encourage people to buy their mp3s. I mean when that Silicon Valley bank collapsed, it nearly took out a whole chunk of "app" companies, perhaps even Spotify, etc. If we hadn't bailed them out, so many people would have instantly lost their entire music "collection."

Everyone's tone was very on point, great experience overall. And Victory's Machine Girl T-Shirt has not gone unnoticed!

a lot of this reminded me of bands like Zu and T.R.A.M. which is a rare sound to find. Love how hard this went!!!!

I didn't know bands like this existed any more. So original and not bound by boundaries. What a great sound! Also the bass player appears to not have the highest string on her 6 string bass...just an interesting observation.

About 5 mins into this live set I thought I was hearing a very early Ozric Tentacles bit of tuneage... Very mellow... 😊

Amazing that you noticed this!! Kaeli's string broke last minute at the THING festival set and we had to bounce straight over to this -- she adapted like a champ!

@@HighPulpMusic Just found y'all and you're incredible! And you seem humble and really chill too :) I'm a drummer and I've used that same ION 22" crash (actually as my main crash-ride) for a while now. Nothing comes close for my taste lol I've tried a lot

It’s weird how people can make such unpleasant sounds in the form of music and people will praise it just because it’s ‘original.’ What emotion does this envoke? What reminiscences does it bring? Which accomplishments or failures does it highlight?

it does succeed in evoking ultra bad takes like yours. so that’s one thing we can say about it.

Yeah well, the usual problem of instrumental music getting boring after a while. No singing, being soul-less, going from nothing to nowhere. Cut.
