A solid prebuilt by Akko - this keyboard doesn't really need any modding. All I've done is lube the switches and stabs, and the difference is immense. The pcb is flex cut per-key, which helps bring out a bouncier typing feel along with an overall satisfying sound.
Pros: Costs around $109, great stock sounds, beautiful keys, and per-key flex cut PCB for comfortable typing
Cons: no wireless option, no RGB due to flex cut.

Akko just never dissapoints! I was mind blown by the stock test. It's crazy how good they can make it sound. Also the lubed switches sound so good here!

They sometimes disappoint!! But their new stuff definitely doesn't...I didn't even bother doing any other mods on this one other than lubing, cause I thought it sounded so good, and typed nicely..you gotta let me know how your Akko feels when u get it!

It kind of depends on whether you'd like to have a prebuilt or a kit to work off of. Since it's your first, you'll probably want to use your own keycaps and switches. But also, because it is your first, have you set your mind on whether you want plastic or aluminum as a case? For the price of the 5075s kit, you can also look at the an aluminum for around the same price, like the Sugar65...unless you really like the F keys, then maybe the Leobog Hi75. So many options nowadays, it's crazy!

@keebtunes the HI75 looks nice, but I dont really like the knob as I was going for a full white keyboard. I have a 60% keyboard currently and find it a bit small as I would like the f row and macro keys, so a 75% keyboard is what I'm looking for.

So I have seen a lot of ppl with the polycarbonate plate can you buy that separately and if so where? Second question I am looking at this product on Amazon and it says they have the lubed V3 Pro piano I noticed in you video you have the normal if I buy from Amazon will it have that and have you tried them?

This layout is similar to the older 5075b and I believe they used to sell the plate separately but I can't seem to find them anywhere now. As for the one on Amazon, it's similar to the site (en.akkogear.com) and they do come "prelubed" but just on the stem rails, so it will still sound more comparably to my stock sound test than the post-lube. But damn it's such a great board, even in stock! The per key flex feels nice, but doesn't diminish the sound quality since it's foamed up inside.

Try FN + backslash (\) - that's usually the combo. If not, I'll find out tomorrow when I get to the office ( I keep it at work lol)

Hey there, I have just received my MOD 007 PC and my LEDs are turned off aswell although they clearly write that it has LEDs (but no RGB) in the description. I have tried every FN combination, but nothing works out.. also tried with driver installed etc. Am I missing something? Is there another combination, is my keyboard broken or does it not even have LEDs? Thanks for your help. Best regards @@keebtunes

@@MG-jd7vd my version doesn't actually light up, but if you do have a version that does, it's usually FN + backslash that turns it on/off, and if that doesn't work for you, let me know which version you got and I'll try to do some research into it

hi! What do you say if I change the switch to SP-star meteor white switches and on top with gmk keycaps? Would it sound more crispy?

Hi! I love the signature clack of the sp-star meteor, and I think it's one of the best nylon switches cause of that sound. I had lubed the pianos with gpl205 but if you were going to lube the meteors you should try gpl105 to retain that clack. It's going to sound great on this board, which has tons of dampening to smooth out that sound. GMK keys are definitely going to feel better than the stock BOWs on this board, their sound shouldn't change much between the two caps though. I think that's a great way to go!

Wondering how should I make the Akko mod007 pc to sound high pitch clacky, should I use broken-in MX black instead of sp star meteor white?

hey sorry about that! KZbin doesn't send me notifications for "replies to replies" so I missed your message. Removing the foam will help with the clackiness alot. If sounds "hollow", try adding polyfill.

hard to say...if you don't want to lube them yourselves, Akko's lubed version is really good. Don't get too caught up on the "versions" too much. The difference here is really just the dust proof stem upgrade, which isn't much to write home about. There's also the updated contact pins, but 2-3 years from now you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two even after extensive use. I do like the V3s overall because they do come with better "stock" feel, but they hand lube their "lubed" versions so you'll get more value there.

Good morning! There are reasons I would and reasons I wouldn't...let me know your thoughts: I'd recommend - if you're looking for a solid prebuilt that only costs $10 more than the Monsgeek and has a flexier typing feel. The value to price is very high here, considering you're spending roughly $30 for the board with foam acoustics and gasket mount, $31 for the switches, and $40 for the keycaps. Downside is that it's a plastic board, which helps with creamier acoustics, but not with the "premium-ness" feel. I wouldn't recommend this board over the M1 if you're looking for a hefty aluminum board that has roughly the same features, but are willing to spend $70+ dollars for the switches and keycaps. The gasket mount is not as flexxy on here, and the PCB isn't per-key-flex cut like the Mod 007. But it's a solid aluminum board that has a high value to price in the aluminum board category. tdlr; Akko Mod 007 - $109 for a prebuilt and no additional work required, per-key-flex cut pcb for nicer type feel, good sound acoustics, but plastic. Monsgeek M1 - will run you $170+ to build, aluminum feels much more premium, hefty, but stiff flex. Solid budget board in the aluminum category. I hope this helps!

No, it doesn't...it's cause the PCB.has per-ket-flex cuts, so fitting LEDs on wouldn't be possible, I'm assuming
