This is Rhi's first D&D game and it's very very common for people to base a lot of their character off themselves, even if they don't intend to do so. I think she plays a wonderful, sweet, protective, motherly, shy character with a complex past and an interesting present and future. I don't think anyone needs to be an expert actor and performer to be considered to be roleplaying their character. With all due kindness, I think she knows herself better than you do and is the only one who really knows how much of what she's doing is in character and unique to that character, and what is simply what she'd do in that situation. Either way, these people are having fun and telling a story together. They're happy, they're having fun. Not sure it matters all that much.

I'm not saying that planning a wedding is really easy, but Kim has said in more than one vlog that she dropped as many responsibilities as she could so she can focus more on her personal life. In my campaign its perception checks, they keep rolling under 10 on perception, missing the rogue in the corner or the weak floor board hiding a large hole, had our Cleric NAT 1 a perception check AND WALKED INTO A ROOM FULL OF ZOMBIES WITHOUT SEEING THEM, he didn’t have Dark vision and no one had Dancing Lights or Light cantrip

Alright, now we're getting somewhere! It's been a long time since we've had a good old fashion dungeon raid, and the treasures have not disappointed (even if Lucius destroyed some of it- seriously, acid was you guy's best idea?!). Qillek's intuition and impulsiveness have really started to grow on me, even if he's still a bit too cowardly then I feel he should be (watch out, Nova- you've got competition for my favorite character). Of course, the main thing I love is the idea that Sentry can be modified and altered with cool gear only she can use. I can't wait for this to be exploited more, as I'm sure future guardians will have more of these type of items. On another note, I would like to suggest again that you guys start attuning to those magic items. You might need them in the future, and as I said, I don't think you guys are in any danger of curses this early on. Definitely get that pearl for the identify spell regardless of what you do- it will save you when the cursed and evil sentient magic items come into play later. Keep up the good work, and let's hope we get a full party next session.

Nova great, Lucius great, Qillek and Sentry have official grown on me now, I like the idea of Qillek‘s cowardice coming from his accident and Sentry has just come out of her shell a bit. And yes, the game mechanics are cool all the same. But I’ll add, that that dungeon music is chilling and satisfies that old dungeon-delving appetite. Nice review, man. :)

Elves are immune to the basic ghoul's paralysis if you read the Monster Manual entry carefully. Of course I could also see mark having home-brewed this out if it did not fit with is lore. Great show you all!

During the Ghast encounter I was looking at the monster manual and saw that elves were immune to the affects of the ghouls paralytic touch so both Aila and Lucius wouldn't have been paralyzed so that's cool.

It could be secretly genius because ghouls were made by an elf worshipper of of orcus or yeegnou (I forget ) and the reason elves are immune to paralysis is because when ghoul prime was betrayed by his master, a member of the elf pantheon embraced him, so he gave elves immunity out of gratitude. Since this a completely home brew world, the lore is different

So as a DnD noob I have a question. I get the feeling that in a combat encounter players are free to interact with the environment as they see fit, for example Sentry making the call to smash the pillar that the guardian is standing on. But I noticed after one or two attacks Mark says ‘it’s just not enough’ so I’m getting the impression this pillar has been assigned some kind of HP value. So where does that come from, would that be given to the DM somewhere in a book or he is just using his experience to assign a value he finds fair? That’s only one example but I imagine you could apply the same logic to trees or shelf’s or any other part of the environment, so how would that work? Is it ALL laid out before the encounter or would a DM have to kind of come up with values on the spot in response the ideas the players are coming up with? I’ve never played so I’m sorry if that’s a stupid question XD
