Love watching these moments because my youngest served in the Marines for 4 years. He spent 6 months in Afghanistan. I was always happy to see him. Thankfully all who served with him came home safely.

I have watched quite a few of these suprise homecoming. The thing that I have noticed is a marine is always wearing dress blues, soldiers are almost wearing BDUs. Just wondering why that is, could it be that marines have more pride than soldiers?

First of all, the term "BDU" is outdated. The correct term is "ACU" for Army Combat Uniform. Second, why slam the soldiers? The most likely explanation is that the Army has stricter rules about wearing Service Dress or Mess Dress Uniforms while off-duty.
