I was always going back and forth on Bop to the Top. As a Puerto Rican, I liked that Spanish was at least included. As a Latina with functioning ears, I always cringed so hard at how badly they spoke it. Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that, while there are definitely different takes spliced together, all of Gabriella's singing was done by Vannessa Hudgens. Whether you believe it's lipsynced or not, the "Live" performance demonstrates her transitions better than the movie version. Specifically in the second verse after the key change you can hear her voice sound very similar to the "different" voice in the first and lower verse, but also seemlessly move into her usual sound. Which to me is stark evidence that V Hudge sang it all. Same can't be said for Troy, obviously. Zac only had some intros, outros, spoken lines, and the balcony reprise in the film and everything else was Drew.

The most unrealistic thing about these movies is that they show them living in this big beautiful houses and then expect us to believe that they're both poor for the next two movies and desperately need scholarships to afford college. Also PLEASE react to the other two! Even after all these years, these movies are my guilty pleasure, and the second one is definitely the best one.

I told someone back when HSM first came out that I thought there was a second person singing some of Gabriella's lines, and they just denied it Also it's sad that Drew Seeley is just known as "Zac Efron's fake singing voice" because he is so talented and underrated.

When Hannah talks about the people who don’t get any lines cause they get paid more it’s true, but the guy who says hi to Chad does talk it just isn’t the actor we see on screen. If you listen there is a voice mixed in with the background music and the actors mouth doesn’t move at all.
