Blaze doesn’t wrestle. He strictly counter wrestles. If refs weren’t so in love with him he’d be on the shot clock 15 seconds into every match and throughout the entire match until the last 15 seconds. He’s playing under a different set of rules
@ButWhatDoEyeKnow2 ай бұрын
Did we watch the same matches? He was on the clock, twice, during Datons match, then shot and scored two points with 5 seconds left to win the match. Conspiracies for wrestling is a new one 😂🤣

There are moves that Dave Shultz did that work and nobody does one was rip a guys single leg out by reaching under the arm no one does it we had a guy in Wisconsin that did a simple gut wrench with one arm no one does it you can do countless arm drags by simply grabbing a wrist no one does it under arm spins no one does it anymore these modern wrestlers are fools for not learning moves from guys of the past Shultz gable had a move where he would kick back and trip the guy these modern coaches are not that good

wresting will never grow until they get announcers who know enough to share some basic facts with audience. eg tell the story! a high schooler? from which high school? wresting college students? from which colleges? or are they former college students? if so, where did they go to school and how old are they now? did they ever win anything while in college? which one of them won what? i get that wrestling community likes the "this is for insiders only" thing, but i'm just saying that the sport will not grow if even the announcers treat it like that. sorry for the rant!!

Flo still hasn't figured out that folk and freestyle are different sports. Any of those 3 guys would probably smoke Blaze in a folk match.

@@barneyroberts668 I've seen guys get pronounced as unbeatable because they beat NCAA All Americans in FS matches. Remember Carter Young beating Seth Gross a few years ago? Where's Carter Young now? Did he ever even qualify for NCAAs? Different sports. Will Blaze be able to get away from a competent rider in D1? Probably not, like 99% of Freshmen.
@jf81382 ай бұрын
What is your point? They still do BOTH. Seems moot when all these wrestlers participate in both styles, doesn't it? I don't get what your criticism is about, its just seems pointless and like a jab at flowrestling, without any substance. Flo isn't great, but it is so much better getting to watch matches now, than it ever was before. So again, what is your point.
@MrGuanYu12 ай бұрын
@@jf8138 Criticism being that Flo has the habit of saying "oh this guy was great in folkstyle so he's amazing in freestyle!" when we have more than enough examples to the contrary. They take different skill sets to do each of them. Look at Zain when he came out of college. He was a monster at riding folks but that did not translate at all to freestyle and he had to (and luckily was able to) adjust his game accordingly.
