@jwonderful9948 ай бұрын
@@ImOnlySIeepingin freestyle, a full on 2 handed push out of bounds doesn't count as a push out point, it needs to be during wrestling action. Also, there needs to be a foot stepping out to be counted as a step out point. Ways wrestlers dodge this rule is by dropping to their knees during their defensive position so if they go out of bounds then it's just back to middle with no points awarded. But at times offensive wrestlers use it to their advantage because they can get to the legs and hope for a step out point without ever actually finishing a takedown properly. Its not a perfect rule, just something else to think about.

And I couldn't think of why, but I thought of the Bills documentary I saw on Netflix last month. I'd seen some, fell asleep, and woke up towards the end when the Bills interviewees each smiled for the camera - which I thought was a good thing to see, having gone through that much heartbreak. ... but when I watched the parts I missed, up through the end, I started to think that, based on the way they spoke about it, they were probably smiling for the camera to a large extent. Watching Fix speak, it felt similar. And then I finally realized why I thought of the 90's Bills when seeing the thumbnail of his interview.

Just shows how hard this thing is. Kasak wrestled up at 149 due to Van Ness’ injury. Since the 2021 year is not counted Kasak can redshirt and come back at 141 in 2025-2026. Little confused. Daton Fix is 5 times All Americans. How come he get extra year? He start in 2019. Can you tell me how? He didn't wrestle at 2020 but NCAA gave him extra year even if he didn't wrestle? 2019 - 2nd 2020 - Didn't wrestle and NCAA cancelled due of Covid 2021 - 2nd 2022 - 2nd 2023 - 4th 2024 - 2nd

In 2021 that year didn’t count towards your eligibility. So In 2020 daton got caught for steroids and got suspended but he took an Olympic redshirt year im pretty sure so he was a sophomore in 2021&22 because of the extra year all the winter athletes were given.

How is Dayton still in college?

Even John Smith knew Fix was not going to win. Fix, is purely defensive and reactive, does not initiate. It is almost like he’s scared to initiate and end up in a situation he’s uncomfortable in. Can’t win the Big stage like that.

I've already seen the match, but I came to give props to Fix. Being a four-time finalist is a huge accomplishment. He faced some monsters in the finals; I wouldn't call that choking. I don't like his wrestling style, but he doesn't deserve hate or being booed.

Fix always does nothing. He’s purely defensive, but that’s not enough against someone like Vito.

He wrestles not to lose and definitely one of the biggest stallers. I mean obviously he's extremely immensely talented you don't become a four-time division 1 All-American but whenever he's on that main stage semi-final or final if I was the officiating crew I'd be hitting him for stalling in the first period and could have been hit for fleeing the mat. What toys and composure veto has when you're getting screwed over and screwed out of points

Actually 5x division 1 all American.

This match was as long as a title fight in the UFC.

The reality of this match is this: Daton tried to wrestle Vito straight up last year and got smoked. Daton knows Vito is the better wrestler so this year Daton decided not to wrestle. He hoped to evade, move, circle, counter, stall, look for help from the official and his coach. He lost in the worst way you can lose as a wrestler. He didn’t wrestle.

Why is Jb and Cormier constantly disagreeing/arguing
@someguynamedsteve37539 ай бұрын
DC just says a ton of bias things from what I gathered, I didn’t get to watch the end but the David Carr match makes me think that.

Cormier starts going off on anecdotes and opinions and Burroughs will call him out. Dang, just call the match!
@xenonmaster66689 ай бұрын
@@someguynamedsteve3753I don’t think so. Daniel is a former college wrestler. Daniel is I’d say has less knowledge of todays wrestling than Jordan does. Jordan has more experience since dc graduated from college in 2001

@@xenonmaster6668 DC is also crazy for OSU as he went there. He is also buddies with David Carr and despite what the rules say was blaming the referee for the match

How many attacks did vito have? Like 10 15? Fix scored a locking hands, an escape from vito cutting him, and one escape on his own...fix essentially scored one escape that match and calling for blood time the entire time and still had a chance to steal it at the end...so happy vito won, fix didn't deserve this...vito also had 2 or 3 takedowns wiped off, this easily could have been a major decision

Although nowhere close to Fix's caliber. In my minimal wrestling career, I carried more silvers than anything. My mindset was to fight to the championship but then everything fell apart for my mindset and skills. The plus side. I had a TON of medals but way too many silvers....
