Baptism isn't symbolism btw, it means to literally be reborn in the spirit and more. Idk if you believe the eucharist is not the literally body of Christ (flesh and blood) but all throughout early Christian history this was the case. I highly recommend not only studying the Bible but also at least delve into Church history to just get notified on how Christian beliefs have been formed and why we follow Christ. Of course the Bible tells the perfect picture but there was a lot of events after the Bible as well.

@@yakeeacosta2387 God is a spirit. He sent His spirit down to earth in human form as Jesus. So the same spirit! (Same with the Holy Spirit)

@@georgetawadrous30000 That’s because God’s spirit was already on Earth is Jesus. In order for God’s spirit to be on earth and everywhere, He needed to ascend to heaven. Same spirit for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Same God.

I'm in 9th grade. And you might not like this and I'm not here to debate but what is your opinion on Calvinism? not the ''God snaps his fingers and throws people into hell.'' Religion known as hypercalvinism that people see us as. I'm a reformed Calvinist Christian and I get picked on by the broader community for my beliefs. I'm talking about 5 point Calvinism that you see all over the bible.

@@anonymousperson007-ck1jj My opinion is that Jesus died and went to hell for our sins, but he defeated hell. God doesn’t want us to get all caught up in which denomination we are a part of because He just wants us to love one another and to love Him. As long as you’ve accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour and you are working to love people, denomination does not matter. I have friends from MANY denominations, and as long as our goal is the same-to be closer to Jesus-He will work in us all. So I view Calvinism as any other denomination-they can skew the message of Christ or they can bring forth the message of Christ. It depends on how you choose to live your life according to the Bible!

@@georgetawadrous30000 Christian means like Christ, so yes we should definitely get baptized, but I was a Christian and wasn’t baptized for 14 years. It makes spirituality easier in my opinion, but I was still a Christian before my baptism.

@Jippyjay There isn't universal agreement on this matter. Catholics and many Protestant sects will baptize infants before they even know who Jesus is. Then others only do what is called "Believers Baptism".

@ While there is not universal agreement, the Bible does say what the truth is. The Bible commands us to get baptized when we become Christians, so that is all we must care about.
