What is the actual difference between these two? (John 11:25-26)
@JippyjayАй бұрын
@ Hey! What do you mean by that? 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26) When you accept Jesus as your Lord, you inherit eternal life as the Holy Spirit lives inside you. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re asking, but that’s what Jesus was talking about in this verse!
@Ordinal_YodaАй бұрын
@Jippyjay Yes this is true. However there is more detail when comparing these two verses based on cause and effect. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Applies at 26.

If you don't have a relationship with Christ then how can you know him? To know him is to pray with all your heart, to read the scriptures. It changes your heart. If we live a sinful life we pull away from his love. To pray is to believe in him. Example might be if we were friends and I never talked with you then how can we be friends? John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

HELP PEOPLE IN NEED, OTHERWISE IS NO SALVATION. We all want to be with Jesus, but along with faith, we MUST HAVE GOOD DEEDS. Luke 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance. Luke 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee. Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Isaiah 58:7 (Question) Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Even though God will not be indebted by anyone. Nobody is worthy more than His mercy. And our good deeds, are nothing more than our DUTY. Our works do not grant salvation, but true faith yields fruit. Matthew 7:21, 23 - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. In Matthew 25: 35-40 says also about helping the ones in need.

Meanwhile, a clear cause and effect is that while "...by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,..." (Eph 2:8, NKJV) ...at the same time, "...it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Phil 2:13, NKJV) and "...faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." Speaking of God not being able to be around evil, how was Jesus able to live among us as a man muchless be able to live in us when we continually sin if God can't be around sin? Like how does that work?
@Jippyjay12 күн бұрын
@@AnythingBtOrdinary91 Super good question! God had to rid himself of his glory in order to become one of us-human. To my understanding from reading the scriptures, it is God’s perfection and glory that makes us unable to be with God because of our sinful nature. When Jesus came, he rid himself of his godly qualities (while He was still 100% God). I think that is why we see this sort hierarchy between the Father and the Son in the gospels. I hope this answers your question! Let me know if I can explain it any better.
@kalinakircheva525013 күн бұрын
It is indeed so important for us Christians to know and understand what happened on the cross and what truly is the Gospel. The fact that Jesus actually went to Hell for three days and conquered death (just like Jonah in the fish, look at the prayer in 2 Ch.) It is an interesting thought that you and your father say that God the Father removed the Glory from Jesus Christ so that He can enter Hell... I must test this deeper in the Spirit. How could in that case Jesus Christ fight and conquer death and take the keys of Hell? Anyways, I wanted to share something different. To the question "Why did Jesus say these words out loud while being hung on the cross?" I would like to give another answer. I'm Bulgarian and in our translations of the Bible this is one of the verses that are left in the original language and then the translation is noted. Actually, the scrolls of the Old Testament didn't have any divisions of chapters, hebrew texts didn't have capital letters nor punctuation like nowadays.. And the psalms also didn't have numeration. So, when you would want to refer to a Psalm in Jesus' time, you would've say the first verse of the song. With that in mind, go check out Psalm 22 :) Actually when He cried out, asking God why was He forsaken, He was drawing the crowd to Psalm 22. If you follow the text, you'll see how it's a prophecy about the Mesiah. It includes even very punctual details about the events on the cross. And to only think about the fact that the religious people and leaders at that time had the tradition to memorise these Psalms, these songs, as part of the Holy Word of God... I know that the text popped up immediately in the heads of many of them at that moment. This is a perfect reference, revealing once again the Person of Christ.
@Jippyjay13 күн бұрын
@@kalinakircheva5250 Definitely ask God about it more if you feel it’s right! Personally, I believe that even without the “glory” of God, Jesus could still take our punishment of hell for us. Just because God’s glory was no loner upon Him, does not mean that Jesus was no longer God. I think he was 100% God, but as we know, God and sin can’t coexist. But then I do wonder, wouldn’t God’s glory have already been removed for Him to become human in the first place. If He kept His glory, all people who came near Him would have died. So I think you’re right, this isn’t the perfect explanation. And I’m also familiar with Psalm 22! I’m not too sure if I’ll ever have the perfect answer for why Jesus said that while here on earth-maybe He was showing his humanity in the way that He felt abandoned in that moment. Either way, I’m happy that I heard my dad’s perspective-otherwise, I never would have understood Christ’s sacrifice!
@kalinakircheva52508 күн бұрын
@Jippyjay Well, about God's Glory we see, for example, the moment of Transfiguration when the full Glory comes down on Jesus Christ. I rather think that it hasn't been fully removed when God was born in human body since He lived a completely sinless life - there is no reason to assume that there was/would be confrontation between the glory and sin in Him. The Glory, I believe, is one of the true characteristics of God the LORD and there is no sense for it to be absent in Jesus with Him being 100% God (and 100% man). I agree with you about the problem of Jesus bearing the full Glory of God - not only people around Him wouldn't be able to bear it revealed but also His human body, the flesh, is the true humility of God: the Great Creator of all the Universe decides to take humble human form and live as poor as a human, compared to the Glory of the Heavens, to humble Himself to death, to death on a cross even. What greater love one can find, I don't want to know. I don't believe there is.

So Jesus physically dying didn't pay for our sins? And He didn't actually take our sins on? Now I'm confused.
@Jippyjay12 күн бұрын
@@AnythingBtOrdinary91 Right! So His death was a factor in paying for our sins, but it wasn’t the whole story. After Jesus’ death, he experienced hell-the punishment for our sins. So He did take our sins on himself. What most people don’t realize is that he had to go to hell to take our punishment-which is so crazy that such a perfect God would do that for us! Does this make sense?
@AnythingBtOrdinary9112 күн бұрын
@Jippyjay Kinda. But if according to Romans 6:23 if the wages of sin is death and death is how sin gets "paid" for, how does Jesus rising up from the dead not void the contract if you will?
@Jippyjay12 күн бұрын
@ The wages of sin is death-and by death it means punishment in hell after death. Because we sin, we must die and not get eternal life. So when Jesus died, he went to hell. In hell, he experienced the punishment for our sins, so when he rose up, all of our punishment was paid for. He defeated hell (death) so we do not need to go there anymore.

Mal 3:6 God does not change. The process He put in place for atonement of sin is clearly laid out in the Old Testament, which is through the priesthood in a temple ordained by the Father. The reason Jesus died on a cross was because his own people rejected and persecuted him to the point of death on a cross. When Jesus died he was fully man. He was mortal like you and I. If he was God, he could not die because God is eternal. When he died he went to Sheol (or Hades in the Greek language), where there is a righteous and unrighteousness side (Luke 16:19-31). Sheol, however, could not hold him since he was without sin. His blood was spotless and blameless. The Father resurrected him out of Sheol and annointed Jesus to his High Priest position at the right hand of the Father in the Temple in heaven. Which was prophecied in Psalm 110 and repeated in Heb 5:6, also mentioned in Heb 5:10 and numerous others. As I said earlier, the process the Father laid out for atonement was through a High Priest in the Father's temple. This is why we are saved by the blood of Jesus. If it were not sinless and pure he could not have been made our great High Priest, from which he is continually making atonement for those who humbly repent through prayer as it states in Heb 2:17. "Therefore, He had to be made like his brethren in all things, SO THAT HE MIGHT BECOME A MERCIFUL AND FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST IN THINGS PERTAINING TO GOD, TO MAKE PROPITIATION FOR THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE." This process continues till today and forever.

Thank you for this video Jayla. It;s a blessing to see young folks confessing Christ to the world. I have thought a lot about why Jesus had to die for us and I found answers in the Scriptures. As you know, sin came in by the devil's temptation in the garden and has been our enemy ever since, keeping us apart from God. An enemy has to be destroyed in order to stop his power and 2 Corinthians 2:21 tells us that Jesus 'who knew no sin, was MADE TO BE SIN for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Therefore our enemy was defeated by Jesus on the cross and has no more power to condemn those who believe in Jesus for salvation. By the way, I don't want to be picky but Jesus actually said My God, my God, why have you forsaken Me (quoting Psalm 22), not 'My Father, why have you forsaken Me'. I believe that every word in scripture should be quoted correctly, otherwise it can be misunderstood. Jesus experienced what we would have experienced, i.e. the abandonment of God, but after that He said 'Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit'. God bless you.
