Thing about low sens is that it forces you to be efficient focusing on crosshair placements and letting then enemies walk into it. While high sens players treat it more like eyes looking around the place then try snap onto enemies. High sens is better if you have discipline.

Imo sense preference can also come down to the agent you play and how you play the agent. Like I like playing raze and satchelling both long distance and quick close satchels so a mid higher sense is practically necessary for me. Say a chamber main however, you don't really have any needs to have to move your mouse too much so you can naturally run a lower sense. Just my opinion and view.

Except there are objective advantages and disadvantages to every sensitivity. Yes, it's preference, but nobody determines their sens based on these pros/cons, but based on what 'feels better'. It's a very vague and unreliable method. Pros of low sens: - Easier to do precise movements, thus better for slower games, or games where you engage enemies from afar. - With a big mousepad becomes very practical. - Mid/low sens values are often best for improving muscle memory and habit-forming, and maintaining/retaining them. Cons of low sens: - Fast targets become impossible/troublesome to track. - Fast close-quarter situations become harder to deal with. - Very easy to end up using a TOO LOW sens, and down the line getting a coach telling you "Bro, two huge strokes for a 90 degree turn is too fucking slow!", so it's important to be conscious of these things when picking a low sens. FYI yes basically there's many deaths due to low sens alone. - Go too low and you won't be able to transfer your skill to other games, as you'll have to use a faster sens that's more suitable for those games instead. - If you use a low DPI, you may get a higher initial sensor delay on certain mice. Some Razer mice have this for instance. - Other minor/specific things. Pros of high sens: - You are in complete control of everything around you. - Perfect for fast games where precision is not as needed. Even in Valorant, agents like Raze or Neon benefit from a slightly higher sens than average. - You're not swinging your arm around like a maniac. It uses less energy, makes your in-game movement more snappy and responsive. - Makes you faster. Never have to worry about being too slow, instead, your issue will always be not MISSING your shots. - Doesn't require tons of mouse space. - If using a high DPI, your mouse may be much more responsive. Some Razer mice have this for instance. - High sens is more suitable for a lot more games. As long as you keep it consistent, your skill will transfer over nicely and you won't have to re-learn a different sens for a new game if you were to have been using a low sens. Cons of high sens: - Humans are not biomechanically designed to perform precise & detailed movements. It's very easy to end up using a TOO HIGH sensitivity and end up performing significantly worse in your games, than if you were to use a sligtly lower sens. - You will be shaky and will likely struggle to land headshots. I used to use a high sens and getting headshots was impossible until I switched to low sens. - A high-friction mouse & mousepad setup might be needed if you're keen on using a high sens. - A heavier mouse will actually be better for high sens play. It will prevent a lot of the shakiness too. - Other specific reasons. In the opinion of a 5% player, you should ideally stick to as close to a medium sensitivity as possible. Try to obtain BOTH the ADVANTAGES of a high sens and a low sens, while NOT having any of the DISADVANTAGES, while still keeping things comfortable. Key words being "try to". Most players just get a huge mousepad and use a low sens that works. Because it works, but doesn't work perfectly nor universally. If you're loving an eDPI value anywhere from 300 to 500 eDpi, you may be one of the lucky ones to be using a "universal mid eDpi value". I'd recommend sticking to it forever on every game you play.

Do they not count just because they don't play at pro level? You can't just ignore those who play at 1000+ eDpi, or those who play at double-digin edpi. The countless exceptions prove that it's not compulsory to imitate what pro players do because there's plenty of top 1% players in all kinds of fps games whom do not conform to the 'standards'. the pro play argument is a weak, lazy, often incorrect as well as an annoying argument to hear, and every normie who makes it is very clearly no higher than Ascendant... The fact remains that various eDpi ranges have different pros/cons, and therefore people use all kinds of values for different reasons or due to unbiased preference. Only a shit player would think that the absolute highest level of play has any concrete connection to Valorant Ranked. At this point I can't even laugh anymore. Ya'll really believe this crap and then end up googling "pro player settings" like that's gonna get you out of Gold 💀

Well started off higher sens for me was .35 on 800. Was a little to fast but then I tried lower sens… around 220 edpi. I had more control but It was harder to 180 and flick around when checking behind myself. Due to being more of a wrist aimer. Honestly don’t know how people forearm don’t stick/ drag on their mouse pad. Probably should get a arm sleeve. This of course had made it more tiring to play. So now I’m going back to a faster sense around 256 edpi. Just need to retrain myself not to overflick. I think people should just learn a sense even if it’s not comfortable. As the sense will get comfortable as you practice your aim.

This is targeted to those who want to improve and climb the ranks to those who play casually you probably wont get too much out of this. First things first if you happen to be under plat just read the TLDR you will want to focus on improving your gameplay rather than just finding a sense crutch. and for most your aim isn't what is holding you back it is most likely your other mechanics like movement or positioning. You want the n1 tip to better aim, play more and start to understand your strengths. Then base your sensitivity off of those said strengths. Ofc this is after you have gotten pretty deep into the game id say plat or dia. Sense isn't preference but rather personalized on your previous video game experience. So no just cause you prefer 0.5 1600dpi cause you don't have to move your arm/reset your mouse doesn't mean it is the optimal sense for you. Also playing the lowest sense you can play on wont just be inherently the best. A good tip to improving aim is to just find a lower sens and is why many people recommend such low senses. As a low sens user i see the appeal to it but trying to force yourself to learn arm aim and resetting your mouse may just stall your progress. also don't worry too much on the 360 thing it is a good idea to have a sense high enough to move around most of your screen but it isn't a game breaker like some will preach. TLDR if you don't know which sensitivity to play on then it probably doesn't matter except for the extremes.

Okay Listen... low is definitely better than high and it is because of one pretty obvious point: on high sens, the skill ceiling on your aim is lower, meaning there is gonna be a point where you physically cant improve anymore because things like some micro adjustments get impossible for example. With low sens you can improve way further if not even endlessly

@homosepian I usually do one DM before comp to warmup the hand. The rest is just reflex and memory. Lots of people continuously change their sens so they're not able to build up that memory. They have one good game and think it's fine but the next 3 they go 5-17 I always urge my friends and ppl who ask me to find a comfortable sens and stick with it

play dm increase if you can't turn around easily or decrease if you over shoot flixs and can't make accurate micro adjustments. Easy. Razer has the best price/performance in my opinion for mice currently. Cheap mouse pad Ikea xl. Try a couple of pro players senses and fiddle with cross hair you need something that feels comfortable not just a copy of pro crosshair. Every one has different eyes and setups hope that helped some newer players
