I can't believe you actually skipped Incant: Armor 2 with Railhammer FOUR TIMES. Insanity. You chased that Quick like it owed you money lol
@bestari5555 Жыл бұрын
With incant armor 6 he could have easily went for the double rail beater set up and crystal clock would have been no issue at all.
@RisingDusk Жыл бұрын
Both Multistrike and Quick are so much stronger than Incant Armor 6 here, and each shop I skipped the Incant upgrade had a 2/3 chance of showing me one of those big upgrades. Statistically, this run should've ended so much stronger, and the only way you can comfortably say "Why didn't you take Incant Armor 6?" is with the benefit of hindsight. I'll also add that at 100 Shards, the Incant Armor 6 is sufficient, but at 200 you have to cross much higher damage numbers and defense wasn't my primary concern. This decisionmaking is entirely a product of the meta we're playing in.

@@RisingDusk Respectfully, I'm not certain I agree. Early on, your plan seemed to be to dupe Railbeater and play two on the same floor. With the additional armor on both, with endless Fledgling Imp to tank and provide rage, and with the rage cards you had procured throughout the run, this is a solid line. You could even throw away Solgard and just run 8 strikes plus melee weakness on the same floor. I believe Quick would've been nice, but not necessary, and Multistrike would've honestly been overkill at 5 strikes a piece. 8 strikes with rage and melee weakness, backline pings, and tons of survivability, and this run is solved. Again, my perspective, but that's the path I would've taken as I watched along.

There was also always a chance at double incant(?) And quick wouldn't save you from divinity(?)
@Kikalenew42 Жыл бұрын
I also wish you could reroll a second time for a third major upgrade, or for the removal of largestone. As is, the importance and flimsyness of steel shops are the worst aspect of the game in my opinion, as simply missing that multi (or quick or endless) is the difference between smooth sailing and a cursed seed
@RisingDusk Жыл бұрын
Even if it cost more money (it should), I think it would increase overall strategy (saving money) and generally make the game feel a bit better.

1:06:00 wouldn't torching either heavy save 12? 40 pyre attack, 6 hits is 240 damage, 7 hits is 280. The torch would bring the first from 290 to 278, saving 1 hit, and the second from 247 to 235, saving 1 hit?
@RisingDusk Жыл бұрын
It doesn't change the second heavy due to the Frostbite. It does change the first heavy, but I ultimately decided that the second Rage Imp on the attacking floor was worth more. Looking at my Relentless floor, I believe that to be correct.
@eden3669 Жыл бұрын
i think torch is supposed to be "torch" as a verb, as in like, "torching" something although arguably that makes it even sillier that it does only 2 damage
@thomasneal9291 Жыл бұрын
BTW, I always took the torch art to imply the verb. As in to torch something, meaning to light it on fire.
@michael___684 Жыл бұрын
I always saw the torch's art as a burning match's tip upside down, as if it about to light it's target, the torch

Oof. Surprised you chose to skip incant armor 6
@RisingDusk Жыл бұрын
I really don't think this is that big a surprise. I had a 66% chance of seeing a far, far more powerful upgrade, and I did this at multiple shops. It would be one thing if I only benefited from 1 of the big upgrades, but benefiting so heavily from 2 of them makes it a worthy risk. It's very unlikely to be punished like this.

1:10:57 ??? why you won? bug? for me, It seemed your allies don't have enough power to kill boss. 1:11:02 I don't know what is happening about this sequencial attaking.
@vadersnemesis Жыл бұрын
Def not a bug, you’re doing the math wrong. He’s applying Melee Weakness with each hit so he gets basically double damage.

@@vadersnemesis our back unit can attack 4 times. but it seems his these attack is used all to front enemies.

You're missing how Railbeater's Melee Weakness sets up a 500 damage hit from Solgard every round. The Melee Weakness does most of the work here.

Crystalcloak is so busted if you have no staller bottom floors. I usually remove the last 2 train stewards after 5th ring just to get 2 of his stealth if I have something else to cut because of this guy.
@bestari5555 Жыл бұрын
Alternatively choosing the incant armor +2 with railhammer in the steel Shop beforhand would have easily solved the cloak aswell.
@sholiss3228 Жыл бұрын
Would've highly valued incant armor 2 w/ railhammer cuz it gives you over 400 armor over all the turns (~8 incants * 6 armor * 10 turns)
@sholiss3228 Жыл бұрын
Even if you don't get up that high, there's still a lot of armor: 27 incants on your solgaurd on ring 77 = 162 armor
@tatertot57 Жыл бұрын
@@sholiss3228 Absolutely agree. I was screaming at my screen for him to take Incant: Armor 2 floor after floor but he just didn't lol. A second Railbeater would outperform Solgard 10 times out of 10. And with the extra survivability there is no threat of Fragile. Seemed like a snap click to me.

That divinity fight was very very hard and interesting. Harvest guy almost cost the run, that wave is very scary without proper answers and I hate that is mostly multistrike/sweeper or piercing dependant.
@Kikalenew42 Жыл бұрын
Most people are scared of the minibosses, rightfully, but the harvest wave is the true boss imo (along with sweeping Divinity obvi)

Torch might be less a meteor and more a flaming coal/ember. There's nothing for scale comparison in the card art and it is weak.
@dvd1098 Жыл бұрын
Torch is most likely a simpler fireball spell like pokemon ember is a weaker flamethrower.
