One of the coolest psychedelic songs ever made. An iconic moment in history

Thak goodness for YT.The sixties pop market was a very crowded place, with some excellent records with great production values not getting airplay. Maybe on pirate or Lux but very late at night. Now we have the chance to hear them rather than them being lost forever. Great record by the way, pity it wasn't a hit but........

@Sir eel Yes sir, but I'm of the opinion that 'musically' the 'sixties' started in '63 and ended in '73 :-)

You tell me that you want us to be together But the very next minute, you start to talk about the weather Who cares if it shines or snows? The situation seems to be That everybody knows exactly what you're doing to me I know you, you're exactly like your mother's daughter Transparent, girl, see through you like a glass of water Hey-oh! Here comes the sun, shining down on me I just want to be glad, but she just wants to be free Tell me now! Tell me all the reasons, why you want to break my heart! Tell me how! Tell me how you're managing to force our lives apart! Sing it out! Let me hear the reasons for the things you're trying to do! Tell me now! Tell me what's the matter with you! Time goes by and the situation's getting stronger I had a feeling today that I can't go on much longer Hey, hey! Here comes the crunch! It's gonna be the end of me Today, I had a hunch that very soon you're gonna be free Tell me now! Tell me all the reasons, why you want to break my heart! Tell me how! Tell me how you're managing to force our lives apart! Sing it out! Let me hear the reasons for the things you're trying to do! Tell me now! Tell me what's the matter with you! Tell me now! Very great song indeed similar to the Partridge Family and Osmonds. The one singing sounds a bit like David Cassidy.

@oscarowski5 жыл бұрын
Hi Thomas:) It was released in 1970. The band was mainly Bill Moeller (aka Whistling Jack Smith) and Buster Meikle. They also released as The High on CBS. On Discogs you'll find more info - including a promo release sheet I have uploaded on release page for The High "Long Live The High" / "Beggar Man Dan", UK demo release.
