imagine having 1000 x 0.1 [mm] size objects that you could control individually mixing that with the RGB lights. You could create temporary 3D objects with multiple layers... :O Mind blowing what you can do with this
@PinkeySuavo Жыл бұрын
how could u individually control them though, wave interact with all the particles
@purdysanchez11 ай бұрын
It doesn't work like that.
@purdysanchez11 ай бұрын
The more particles you have the less effective the nodes become. Also the complexity of the space where you can move a particle becomes vastly more complicated.

I can't imagine the amount of processing power needed for that.

will be cool for a holodeck could you imitate some objects and terrain with the force? still not receiveless which would be good for pyramid construction and alien abduction.

Will this tech be able to feasibly levitate multiple particles in the future in order to display complex images and scenes? I'd imagine that after 1 or 2 particles the sound waves would start creating a lot of interference patterns that would because exponentially more difficult to control. Even with fine control of 2 particles at high speeds the complexity and clarity of the 3d images displayed would be highly limited. I hope I'm wrong though, it would be wonderful if this tech has a bright future.

I bet the limitation is how fast you can do the math.

Could you shape a fog cloud with ultrasound?

If you injected the fog into static nodes very precisely, you could see the effect, but this technology probably wouldn't keep the fog in the node for very long
