He’s not struggling to keep up. If it’s an armed response unit then you are trained to hang back slightly more as if you turn into a fire fight or presented with a situation it gives you vital seconds to react accordingly. Sometimes planning is faster than speed

They look beautiful but it just shows that there is money being put into their vehicles but not in preventing internal corruption, better police wages and resources to properly conduct investigations. I love the British Police but they do need more support and manpower to fight crime in society and within their own organisation (especially the Met)

Other than a few NARCs (Not A Real Cop), there's a few clips where they use the wrong lane in order to make a turn which can confuse motorists, like at 7:37 where the cop is in a straight on lane instead of using the lane to actually turn left. The road rules are for everyone, emergency or not - if I made a left turn from a straight / right turn lane like that cop did, I'd be fined. Rules are for everyone, can't pick and choose to obey them or not just because you have blue lights though.

Ha ha ha. You want the emergency services to follow lane markings? While responding to emergencies? That mean they need to sit in the queue? Do you want them to stop at red lights too? Might as well not have blue lights and just dawdle there, hoping everything will be okay.

Different country, different laws, where I live the emergency vehicles can go with the red light, go the wrong way for a few meters and, if they are present, use cycle paths and reserved lanes if and only if they have sirens and flashing lights, they are not required to respect the speed limits and road signs (unless the sign indicates the physical limit you cannot pass). This does not exclude that they must have a professional behavior and not endanger the lives of other people, and the most effective way is to slow down and cross, in an emergency every second counts, so you cannot force an ambulance to turn off everything and leave it in traffic for 10 minutes in the queue, or police officers who have to chase a suspect, that is going at 90 km/h, to respect the speed of 50 km/h in the city. I forgot one thing: if a civilian doesn't move to the intersection to create an emergency path as soon as he sees or hears an emergency vehicle, he can be fined
