@@jaimdiojtar yeah, but I can't play it. It's vr only, and I don't have a vr set-up.

@@WarrenGarabrandt there are already non vr mods but if you ever dare to play the game in a flat 2d screen you will think the game is shit, and i have to say the game is only good at least for me because its vr and based on half life and have great graphics in vr but overall as a game is a 7/10 worth it? yes, masterpiece? no

Or simply just make sure Trains don't get flatwheels by doing maintenance at track junctions and setting speed restrictions

And you did not show the most important thing. You have to show the rail before grinding and show the rail after grinding. Then you can see the sense of this operation.

So do the rails sometimes get a welded layer to compensate for the grinding? Greetings, Jeff

I don't think so; they will just keep grinding the rails as needed, and when that has happened too often, it's time to replace the rails. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX6ulIeYjqmDbdk

@@sjoerd5629 Yeah, but isnt that to get the wooden sleepers replaced for concrete? Ive seen welder trains in operation.

@@jeffjefferson2676 In that video you can see different machines with different purposes. The first part is a machine for continuous replacing sleepers and rails, and these machines arent only used for changing wooden to concrete sleepers, they change old concrete to new concrete sleepers as well. In the second part you see a machine that is used for continuous replacing and cleaning the roadbed. This machine is in fact a smaller one, the bigger ones dont throw out the dirt, but collect it in special cars, they clean (wash it) the ballast and resharpen it, they change the underlying material as well and add new ballast. On some heavily used sections of some routes it is even necessary to replace the rails every three years, the sleepers are often still in very good condition on these sections of the route and so only the rails are replaced there.

@@pearlyhumbucker9065 Thats what im saying, you could weld a new piece of track on. But if placing new rails is cheaper. Well then that is what they should do!
