High speed pursuit- Dodge charger runs red light & the chase is on

I like the way the cop pursued the suspect and once he seen he was not going to catch him and the traffic was getting heavier he decided to terminate the pursuit. It showed the officer did not let his ego get the best of him & was responsible enough to know it was a hazard to be chasing after someone with the traffic so heavy well-done officer you have my respect,.

Like the white SUV who just turned right in front of him. Blue lights trump green lights. They will kill you for anything if you try to run they will pit you no matter the speed the fact a cop would kill himself to stop a speeder is pretty insane though 🤷. And also some of the risk the cops take to catch a person. This seems to be from the POV of a LRPD unit. They don't operate on the same radio frequency as they are a separate agency. The ASP unit probably wasn't aware until they passed by. Even then, they don't always join in unless requested.

Most newer vehicles have sound proofing to give you that quiet ride without all the road noise. This comes at a cost of not hearing emergency vehicles well. Now add in your music and cell phone (lack of using mirrors) nowno one knows whats happening around them on the road. Not to mention with an electric siren at (even before) about 50 mph you start to outrun your sirens effectiveness. At 100 mph you wouldn't even hear him coming with your windows down before headlight on you.
