If you do some rough math, the chase was about 40 minutes long. And he traveled about 44-49 miles. Using that, and what we know about the car, he was averaging about 185-187 mph in that pursuit. The fuel tank is 18.5 gallons, considering that the owner had it on full, 18.5gal/40min = 0.46 gal/min. Thinking about these numbers really puts into perspective of how impressive it was that he managed to stay composed for that long, and the rate in which the Hellcat engine swallowed fuel.
@lexj432hz610 ай бұрын

Best advertising for a car I’ve ever seen, and it didn’t cost Dodge a dime.

Yeah and really typical american commentary. Incredibly high speeds of 110 mph. Come on dude, that's not that fast.

@@JohnDoe-bd5sz The hellcat was going 200mph
@JohnDoe-bd5sz2 жыл бұрын
@@memphis1780 Most of this video, they say "He is doing 100, 110, 130" and while that is not low speed, 100 mph is not really a high speed chase. Nowadays even cars with a 1.2 liter 4 cylinder engine here is able to do atleast 120 mph. 200 mph is fast, i just never heard them mention that it DID do 200, just that it was capable of doing 200
@memphis17802 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-bd5sz They say he was doing 130 likely as an underestimate of how skilled the driver was, if he was truly going 130 he would not have been as ahead as he was at the end with the helicopter chasing him at 125
