@Truthbeyondemotion But that type of trolling isn't really relevant, is it? Nor do the people who say that believe it, after all, ..all but six countries in the world were colonized at some point. The people who say it are obviously bitter, either about not having control of SA (if they're white) or about having not been able to achieve anything remotely resembling what has been achieved in improvement in the last 26 years in South Africa (if they're black from another African country that has stagnated for 60 years). Meanwhile, reality is what counts. A high-speed line could be made that would cross the entire country from north to south and would connect Pretoria, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and from there to the coast with a final station in Cape Town. From the Cape to Pretoria by high-speed train linking all the capitals of SA on the way. If you plan to do that, do not hesitate about the Spanish railway companies, as good as the French or German but cheaper.

South Africa needs to step up their railway game! We need more metros in the big cities and also intercity connections! Often the few Train routes are slow and toooooooooo crowded!.

fjellyo32 agree we need Metrorail running efficiently...that’s the people’s train.The rail network is there, just not running efficiently, SA does have the largest rail network in the continent and Gautrain is a minuscule part of it
@fjellyo32614 жыл бұрын
@@Broeidt well I kinda disagree. In PE for example is no railway station in the city centre. No Metro or Tram either!

@averagejack63904 жыл бұрын
The Gautrain top speed is actually 400 kph. Durring the 2010 FIFA world cup the speed was limited to 350 kph for safety reasons. Nowadays also due to safety reasons the Gautrain is limited to between 60 kph to 120 kph - 160 kph. Speed is regulated by the train authorities and management to be faster on certain stretches of the routes and slower on other stretches of the routes. This allows for a good balance between scheduled timing and safety.

I know it as blackout, power cut, power outrage etc.
@misterghana4 жыл бұрын
@@zedtboy1062 when the problem was huge they did have a load shedding scheme. And it was area based so people knew when their energy is off. But now dumsor is no more. Not saying that we dont have blackouts anymore. But it is incidental due to for example a error somewhere in the system and so not according to a scheme as we used to have a few years ago. So now it is 'stable' but I think our system should be upgraded to for example the dutch way making the chance on a blackout much lower.
