The loft that you use with your driver depends upon your swing speed. The Lower your swing speed the more loft you will need to hit the optimum launch conditions. Faster swingers can get away with playing less loft, but for slower swingers less loft will not help them at all. In reality its a process of getting the correct spin to give you the correct launch angle to max out your distance for your delivered club head speed.

I lofted my M4 up to try and help with my slice , seems to be doing the trick with just the odd bad shot, keeping on the short stuff is my main target.

Ali can you do a video with the subject being what is the effect on spin ( and other things) of loft changes with an adjustable driver please?

Very good info for me, now I totally understand difference.

Well you hit both heads great. Still think you hit the tm m3 m4 better than others. But great videos. 5 out of 5 fairways is hard to look over. But the other is longer if you miss the bunker and rough hard to decide

Ali can you do a video on a ‘high spin head with low spin shaft’ versus a ‘low spin head with a mid spin shaft’? I hate the feel of low spin shafts but like low spin and I can’t seem to find the balance

Question. I can hit my driver off deck with ease. But i only hit my drive 230 to 240 max id say. It always launches miles in to sky even though ive lowered the tee dramatically. I dont have funds to buy a driver or launch monitor. 😢 Would any of you have advice on what type of driver head i need. My driver is 9.5 degrees. So is does that mean its low spin and should I get higher degree 🤔

30 yards of roll versus 20. In winter the difference would be even less. Hitting fairways is the way to go!

For some reason I have finally got my driver under control (no doubt next month will be back to normal!), it is amazing how much easier golf is when you are playing your second shot from the fairway

I have the m3 10.5 If I drop it to 9 degrees should it go longer or leave it at 10.5 and move weights to front ???

So I take it the high spin is caused by the loft of the driver as that’s the only thing that changed? I thought the shaft might have a bit of the say regarding spin? Look forward to your reply but a very good illustration of high spin driver vs low spin.

Yes shaft can make a difference, but I wanted to change as little as possible.

AliTaylorGolf Thank you for your reply Ali, definitely a help on reducing spin, taylormade had the loft up campaign did the shaft in those drivers counter act the loft being higher?
