This video contains my personal experience and very detailed recordings of the route called "Orla Perć" in winter conditions done solo by me 03.01.2020.
Many say it is the hardest tourist route in Polish Tatras. I'v been there in summer and that experience was very helpful during searching for the right path. I do not recommend doing it solo, to prove what I did not hesitate to describe my failure at the end of the video. Mountains are unpredictable and if You want to avoid death it is necessary to obey several safety rules. Most important thing - do not go alone on such a long and demanding trip. Going alone is risky and requires a lot of experience so You know exactly what to do in certain situations. I thought I know enough to do this, but I was wrong. Made a terrible mistake that had nothing to do witch technical problem, which may usually be seen as the most important one. It was pure strategic mistake.
Next time, in alike situation, witch such limited information about conditions I would definitely choose the easiest way possible to get where I need witch the lowest risk.
I send many thanks and my best regards to the Tatra Voluntary Rescue Emergency (TOPR). This are the bravest man in the mountains and deserve much more than they are given for this work. Thanks to them You can watch my video and I can live.
Be safe, cheers
