I feel like Tigerstar did love Goldenflower, and I know the Erins said that Sasha was his true love and not Goldenflower, but I feel like he only used Sasha. I mean, their relationship was abusive, and in Tigerclaw's Fury, it said that Tigerclaw felt relieved when he found out that Goldenflower and his kits were safe, and although in the books he mostly only wants his offspring to carry on his legacy, it's confirmed that he does care for them, he just doesn't know how to be a good father since he didn't have one (I'm looking at you, Pinestar). It's also said that Tigerstar missed Goldenflower while he was in the Dark Forest, and I feel like they actually loved and cared for each other. I ship Tigerflower. Don't get me wrong, Sasha's a good character, but she was pretty much used by Tigerstar throughout her whole manga. I think he knew she had feelings for him and was using it to his advantage so that she would have his kits and carry on his legacy. When Sasha refused to join ShadowClan, he treated her like trash, which shows that he didn't care enough to respect her decision. You guys can rant all you want about Tigerstar loving Sasha more than Goldenflower, but this is just my personal opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone. I feel like Tigerstar loved them both, like how Graystripe loved Silverstream and Millie, and how Crowfeather loved both Feathertail and Leafpool. It's possible to be in love with more than one person, it just doesn't happen a lot. Again, this is just my personal opinion and my view on Tigerstar's relationships with his mates. He was abusive and a bit cruel to Sasha, and although we don't see much interaction between him and Goldenflower, we still get a sense that he cares about her. I love this MAP because Goldenflower is my favorite character, and I want to believe that she and Tigerstar loved each other. Wow, you got this far. Congratulations. Also you got to take into account that Mapleshade also corrupted Tigerstar. If I remember correctly, Tigerstar was related to Frecklewish, so Mapleshade not only went after crookedstar, but went after Tigerstar as well, and succeeded with Tigerstar

None of the evil characters were born evil, it was the dark forest tampering with them since birth and some unlike others just had the support and family they needed to help them get through that reached out to them in time (ex: Crookedstar) Tigerstar never had his support, his mother didn't even exist in Bluestar's prophecy meaning his mother died before that so no mom, his father left when he was a kit so no dad, and his mentor was a cat that went mad after his mate died on the thunderpath and pounded in his ideals teaching Tigerstar it was right to be merciless. So Tigerstar grew up with not many and by the time Goldenflower came around he probably was already too old to change, as the saying goes, can't teach an old dog new tricks, habit is habit and unfortunately Tigerstar had already adopted the habit he had gained from his mentor and dark forest influence Brokenstar is another case of no help, he wasn't born evil but his mother couldn't keep him, unfortunately the only cat that could care for him was a she-cat that made it very clear she did not like him and that she as not his kit. He was rejected his whole life and didn't even know that his mother was still looking out for him

The fact that you brought attention to Swiftpaw’s death and him being Goldenflower’s son honestly makes me so happy. I feel like everyone forget that Goldenflower was Swiftpaw’s mother, even the Erins. When he died, it just kinda felt like Goldenflower didn’t care? It’s been a long time since I read the first arc, so I could be wrong, but it felt like this was only brought up maybe once or twice in the whole arc. I just wish the Erins would’ve brought more attention to this. I mean, Goldenflower’s son was MAULED BY DOGS, which were brought in by her ex-mate!

@@skyline0_038 Pinestar was goin through some shit at the time, deaths like moonflowers, he was on his last life, he was stressed and scared because he was having dreams telling him to kill his own son, his daughters died, he witnessed Shanty's death and blames himself for it. Yeah he wasn't the best dad because he left his son, but at least he didn't verbally and/or physically abuse his kin like so many others have. He was at his fuckin breakin point.

I like to think that tigerstar and goldenflower really really loved eachother and wanted to be together forever but with time... they drifted apart... she still hoped things would work out and wanted there kits to have a father so she didnt give up on him, as time progressed and he was exiled, she still hoped he had some good in him. Somehow the old tom she knew was still in there so she hoped he would come back and make things better but once they found tigerstar tried to kill thunderclan with dogs and killed one of there clanmates, she gave up. Seeing tigerstar would never be the same, after the bloodclan battle and tigerstar was killed she realised she still cared for him, after awhile she realised this was better for her and started focusing more on her children's future's, she finally got over tigerstar and felt at peace.

Fun Fact: Goldenflower was Tigerstar's true love I feel bad for Goldenflower, her first-born is killed by the dog pack that her mate brought to her clan, she watches her mate leave, knowing he's a monster, and then watches her only daughter leave, even after all that, she dies of old age, I really like Goldenflower, she was a good mother and also was really sweet

Man, this map really well expressed goldenflowers grief. She went through a LOT. OK I AM SO HAPPY THIS FINALLY CAME OUT YES i want a book on goldenflower- first of all, she had to deal with the loss of lionheart. she finds out Tigerstar is bad she had to deal with the judgement of her kits, snd possibly even herself. swiftpaw go bye bye, he’s indirectly killed by her former mate child leaves speckletail (her mother) dies and yeah fun times so somebody please give her a book i wanna see how her opinion of tiger star changed over the years and how she ended up being with him and if he really loved her back. did she know about him? did she like him because she was into bad boys with daddy issues? WHAT HAPPENED- please somebody shsgfshsb i also imagine she got progressively tired over the years from dealing with everything and having to be the strong one for everybody. even if she wanted to do something she couldn’t, because she couldn’t show her kits she was distressed by what had happened i also have the feeling she was so protective of her kits not because of just motherly instinct, but because she was the only thing she felt she had left

I was so sad when Goldenflower stayed in the forest when all the Clans left. It felt like the Erins just didn't know what to do with the elders who stayed behind, since Lontail and Mousefur went to the lake, and out of all of the elders, Goldenflower *didn't* deserve that. She should've gotten to see her son grow and mature, she should've gotten to tell Jay, Lion, and Holly stories when they were kits. She should've been able to be proud once Bramble became leader. She missed out on so many wonderful things, and it *really* hurts when you remember how many bad things she had to deal with. Edit: @pridelandsqueen77 brought up that Goldenflower *did* go to the lake, but my point about the it feeling like the Erins not knowing what to do with the elders still stands. Just not with Goldenflower
