For those who retired few months after 31 Aug 2014, this calculation is beneficial. For example , I retired on 27 Feb 15 with just 9 yrs 11 months and 14 days. With this new formulae my pension increased by 21%.

As you have retired in Feb2015: your 1st part will be average of 12 months from Sep2013 to Sep2014. 2nd part will be average of 60 months from Feb2011 to Feb2015. No, You are giving answer with your own mind. Whole pensionable services have been devided in to two parts. One is up to 31st August 2014 and other is after 31st August 2014. Why 31st August date is taken instead of other date..? Because after that date Pensionable Salary was fixed from 6500/- to 15000. That means period 1 is upto the date when pensionable salary had been changed. So when a persons date of exit is after 31st August and his pensionable service period is below 60 months then average pensionable salary may be calculated in the logic No of months after 31st August OR 60 months whichever is lower. May be....I'm not sure, but is logical when you devided two periods. But again I'm telling you please check the authenticity of that particular Demand Letter of your friend. It is not really logical to devide the whole pensionable services into two parts when pensioners depositing 8.33% of their actual PF Salary since the beginning of the scheme. Why the tennure will be devided...? Is it logical....? Please find the Circular No. Pension/SC/HigherPension/2022/1357, Dated 01-June-2023 issued by EPFO Head Office (Searched Srl No 69 of EPFO Site), Where it has been clearly stated about the Salary for Computation of Pension. How can EPFO change the formula so soon in two months..? Although I see that you have worked hard to make this video. But your results seem to be zero.

My DOE is 15.9.2014 (I.e., crossing the border limit by just 15 days). Going by your version, there will be duplicity of period - once @ 12 months' average prior to 1.9.2014, and second, @ 60 months' average from 15.9.2014, spanning up to 16.9.2009. OR, will it be just one computation based on 60 months' average, and IGNORING the 12 months' Computation (Pension A). Please advise. Second scenario is that I take only pro-rata period of 15 days in 60 months' period and add it to 12 months' period prior to 1.9.2014. Please give your expert opinion, preferably, with an example. Or, if you come across any such a live case, kindly do share with us. Thanks.
