Fiona you are so fantastic about explaining everything. I never get bored of your materials lists or starting instructions for your projects like I do with others. This scene is absolutely brilliant. It really does look like it's been painted. I'm a complete newb with polymer clay but you inspire me to practice more so I can be fabulous like you! can you do a video on some scrap clay that has air traped and what happens when it's baked please
@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals4 жыл бұрын
Hi Junwell, if you have air trapped it will expand in the oven and create a domed or bubble effect. So we want to avoid this if possible. You can normally tell where bubbles are as the clay may look a little domed or rises up after you have rolled it. If you find a bubble, simply push a pin into it to allow the air to be pushed out and smooth the clay down around it. Once the piece has baked, there is little you can do about it. I wasn't thinking about doing a video on this at the moment, but you have got me thinking, but I thought I would mention what to do to you in the meantime. I hope that is of some help? :)
@221b-Maker-Street2 жыл бұрын
Fiona, your work is so beautifully detailed, is it possible you can record at a higher frame rate, as I'm struggling to see the detail of some of the amazing work you're doing. I realise it's quite possible you've actively chosen this upload quality as for a long video it can take forever to upload 🥴 - I'm just concerned that it doesn't do your work justice... 1080p would probably do it - many people are now even recording in 4K, which offers _extraordinary_ detail - though I realise this may possibly be perhaps a bridge too far! 🤗
@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals2 жыл бұрын
Yes, sadly the upload connection I have only allows me to do this size :( When I tried with a higher resolution, it wanted to take 6 hours to load on KZbin, and kept chucking me out. Hopefully one day, when I get a better connection at home I can do a higher resolution :)
@221b-Maker-Street2 жыл бұрын
@@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals Thank you! You certainly deserve a better connection, Fiona! Not sure if the Govt's gigabit vouchers are still running - might be worth investigating... Love your work. 😊
