I think Blizzard's reasoning for it was that they felt like every Control game felt the same. Wallet Warrior vs Wallet Warrior felt similar every time. So instead they changed Control v Control to Casinostone and decided to make every match against Demon Hunter feel the same since they can draw through their entire deck every game, so every DH match is a boss fight of going through all 30 cards. Galaxy brain thinking on their part.

The play was good but the opponent really throw the game, he read his hand twice so he knew he had shadow madness, all he had to do was play a 4+ attack minion or just pass and clear with deathwing to remove any lifesteal potential and let fatigue do the work

Can someone explain this to me? Why at the 36:05 mark does Trump go with Shadow Word: Pain, instead of Penance? The cards cost the same, and both would destroy the minion that he ended up killing with Pain, but Penance would give you 3 health, and being that he was at 8 and his opponent was at 30, I think that would make more sense. I'm just trying to get better and I like his commentary which helps me a lot, but this choice didn't make sense to me.

The bomb wrangler summons a boom bot when it takes damage. Using penance to kill it would trigger that ability. Trump chose Pain instead on the grounds that he had a better win rate without the boom bot and the three points of healing.

Damage from the bomb could assist in opening up Trump's face to potentially more damage, the bomb could just highroll his face and put him in a bad spot, etc. It's not "strictly better" to Pain over Penance, but it does remove any RNG from the equation.

Zephrys and Alex are actually tempo cards most of the time so highlander priest should be unfavoured against vanilla galakrond priest in long games. Therefore, since highlander priest can't really win on tempo normally, especially since alex is so late in the game, highlander priest should be unfavoured against vanilla galakrond priest.
