My wife and I visited Glencoe and the Highlands in the summer of 2019. Dramatic and unforgettable landscapes and scenery. There are very few places with such outstanding natural beauty. Rick is a master narrator and his story telling combined with the incredible photography mesmerise the Highlands even more!

Ullapool and the North West Highlands in Scotland are EPIC. The Neolithic remains in the Outer Hebrides and in Orkney are STUNNING. It would be wrong not to use capitals because they are so good. Thanks for this short Glencoe video, too. I will be going up to the North West again in three months or so. Glencoe has an "eeriness" to it that I always feel when travelling up or down it. Nice countryside though....

There was a Scottish boy who lived in the Highlands. He fell in love with an Irish girl and they were to marry. One night, the English troops arrived. The English killed the boy's family and took him as a slave to England. The girl was married off to an English commander in their navy. They kept the boy alive so that the girl wouldn't commit suicide. He lived because of her.

What...38 scots got theirs from other scots 3 centuries ago, and it's a big deal? OOOoo. I used to be entranced by a 1/2 hour in Paris or Athens, where a famous thing really happened, now I'm afflicted by a tiny blip from long ago? Running out of material, eh?
