What's up with Kris apologising? Karn is toxic AF in these earlier scenes, all because Kris hasn't revealed everything about herself. Icky behaviour!

imagine you like someone and you're trynna get close to her, it looks like shes also into you so you start opening up to her and tell her everything about you but she never tells you anything, it's like you're being extremely vulnerable infront of someone you want to trust and love but it looks like they don't trust u enough to talk about themselves

@@tehreem2795 Yikes! So you have to be exactly the same in nature or else feel my wrath? Karn: "You're going to do exactly as I say, & if you don't I'm going to be a complete psycho & treat you like utter garbage, because your behaviour isn't to my liking". Genuinely, WTF? People are different. People communicate differently. People reveal their vulnerabilities differently, & when they're comfortable & at their own pace. Immature, manipulative, gaslighting, coercive behaviour is beyond yuck. There's no excuse for it. When you grow up, you'll recognise this.

@@Sapphic_Lover yeah i agree with you but the show has also stressed that karn is sensitive and the nature of being secretive or not open is generally frustrating in a relationship and karn being touchy-feely has that frustration doubled

@@Sapphic_Lover personally, im a very patient person and im usually very open about my feelings and opinions, i dont expect the same from the person I like but I understand why it could be frustrating and why some people are sensitive towards it. I also think that since the series is pretty short they can't really drag out how long karn has waited for kris to be more open towards her (haven't read the novel) I just think that if it was longer that would've been one of the key points they should've added

@@tehreem2795 Yeah, maybe it's the shortened run. I don't mind toxic behaviour in shows as long as it's addressed. But all we've got is Kris apologising unnecessarily, & then Karn acting like nothing happened later in the episode. Definitely would've preferred a few more episodes to flesh out these character's more. Kris has had more screentime, more backstory, & her internal monologues have been revealing (& humorous - a real highlight), so feel like we know & understand her character better. Karn, not so much.
