That's a compressed defence, that's why there's not many tries, that's northern hemisphere rugby, we will always struggle against compressed defence, cause our forwards didn't dominate the contact, england forwards killed it, and for some sad reason we can't adapt to this form of rugby, if the refs allowed a bigger gap between both teams would be totally different game, even the boks play this style,

From an English fan, holy smokes...bomb squad who? Barrett single-handedly inspired that fight back, he quite frankly seized control of the game from DMac (whom I thought lacked some crucial rugby IQ at times) and got them out of trouble and in a position to win the game. Correct me if I'm wrong. But Razor is a genius, just an absolute genius. He held our bench back for the right moments of the game, and it showed. Fletcher Newell and Asafo Aumura come on and demolish the English scrum. Tupou Vaa'i and Luke Jacobson come on and just lift the work rate at the breakdown. Cortez Ratima got to the ruck and cleared a lot faster than Finlay Christie. Then when the English line speed and rush defense is just starting to slow down due to fatigue, on comes Beauden Barrett and literally turns the game. Seems like the Kiwi dominance in world rugby is struggling, mostly because off the ball tackles and other such advantages, have been taken away due to more aware referees. I love to give them grief, but whether you like it or not, they are part of the game always. Without that human judgement part, the game would not be what we love. Man Beaudy and Ratima off the bench made such an impact to the pace we played at. Be nice if England were playing another game down here they're a quality team

@Sean-sz7zo yeah, he should have left the ball to him and committed to the tackle. A poor contest guaranteed the try

Great game, some good rugby. Hate to hear a crowd booing when their opposition is taking a kick.

I thought I had been transported back to 2015 /16 when the Beauden Barrett of old arrived. He single handedly changed the match. Granted a lot of hard work had gone in before hand but crikey we finally got a dude on the pitch who started making smart decisions. Well placed kicks behind an English side, who always seemed to be skirting with being off side, and carving up a tiring English back line. That's exactly what an impact player is meant to do. Well done to England though. They looked dangerous and were camped out in our half so much that I thought they were going to build a gazebo for entertaining guests!
