It was an embarrassing defeat for the Pumas against a French team without its best players, who were finalists in the French championship (Toulouse and Bordeaux). A lot of young players with no caps and who could still play in this year's U20 World Cup. This confirms France's reservoir of young talent, with three-time U20 World Champions.

on one hand - it's not only the ST and UBB players who are not involved: Alldritt, Atonio, Ollivon, Fickou or even Villiere haven't been called up on the other hand Los Pumas are without some important players as well - Chocobares, Mallia, Isa, Bruni, JM Gonzalez, Petti, Cinti, Boffelli, Lavanini

@@garethpearce5255 No, they're not injured. These players are on the list of premium players and are subject to compulsory rest periods. A contract has been signed between the federation and the clubs for several years. The summer tour is a compulsory rest period. It will be the same next year against the All Blacks, which will be very difficult for these young French players.

I don’t understand why you don’t get carded for very cynical foul play, it shouldn’t matter if the opposition still manages to score or not. Not a fan of more cards in the game but you shouldn’t cheat and have no repercussions!

A very odd match. What’s with all the tackling of players without the ball? Some very sloppy passes to nowhere. Referee really wanted to be involved; a bit whistle happy. Rucks had no structure whatsoever. Players lying around suntanning. Pumas couldn’t be bothered tackling so they just collided and fell over. Not really international quality, was it?

Strange game. Argentina looked a shambles, struggling to put phases together or tackle effectively against what was effectively a French development team. Get the Jaguares back in Super Rugby, it´s clearly damaged them not having a professional franchise at home. One team each from the USA and Canada probably wouldn´t hurt either.

Do you watch the tournaments ?? The french clubs that qualificated in quarter final, semi final and final in top14 have a rest period.. just some players of la rochelle, stade francais, toulon etc.. went for the summer season. 80% of the team is composed of u20 players

Let me assure you, they were robbed of their money. If I were the UAR president I would pay back every last ticket after such an embarrassing performance. The fans were livid, hopeless, regretted going to the stadium. The match was in another province but here in Bs As it's winter chilly outside so the people were freezing on the stands.
