Highlights from Day 2 of the EDP Pro Ericeira presented by Estrella Galicia

An uptick in swell meant an uptick in performances and the early event contenders made their presence known in powerful form. Women tipped the scale toward excellence before top seeds matched that energy in their debuts with the men pushing performances all their own in Ericeira. But, now the men must deal with top seeds when competition resumes and the chase to lock in a 2025 Championship Tour spot will hit the next gear.

With only two events remaining to qualify for the 2025 Championship Tour, Portugal is pressure packed. Ericeira is the fifth stop of the Challenger Series - the only pathway to pro surfing’s highest level of competition, and will be a defining moment for athletes looking to be a part of the next generation of surfing history. Every wave is an opportunity.
