@@johannezej8002 Yes, both apply. Ger weak and SWE really hit all sniper shots, etc. At SWE everything worked. Of course, this will not happen every day. The SWE with his 16? ESL players against whom the weakened ger team was highly favorite, is out of question. But everything went. As I said: SWE made a very strong game.

As a Swede, I am a little surprised to see how powerless Ger played in these highlights. The selection is very small so keep that in mind here since I'm not watching the game live. MO is not playing as he and the German Confederation could not come to terms on insurance. MO will be RFA on 1/6 and chose not to risk injury during worlds and he has stated that he would like to play. E.I Raymond and the Swedish Hockey Association managed to settle an insurance policy and it is quite simply about money in both cases here. The Swedish Hockey Association has a "higher" will and better conditions to resolve such "cases" as the Swedish Hockey Association considers the Worlds to be an important tournament for Swedish hockey.

It's a hybrid rink size. 28m wide vs the international standard 30m. The length is still 60m.

Nope, If that happens it's just part of our cultural heritage that we as two different nations share in a sporting context. There are few derbies in the world that have the same excitement as Swe vs Fin in hockey. And if there is any country that can be predicted to cause problems for any other country, it is Finland. They often play their best games against Sweden. It's not about the number of NHL players, but which system is the strongest for the day when it comes to Swe vs. Fin. Another way to put it. The Finnish sisu IS more powerful than the Swedish one.

Now with restrictions being gone and actual players travelling to Worlds no way Finland will retain #1 or #2. Isn't it funny that since 1950, just after Covid Finland became number 1 for the first time in its history. One Year you won with worse team on Paper. Salt Lake happened to, yet no Americans are shouting about that. That doesn't redeem 60 years+ of losing and that will soon fall back to you. Sweden, Russia, Canada & Czech has been #1 more than once & for much much longer period. I can't be more ashamed to be half Finn. After losing so many important games with the best you have.. People have no genuine interest of Hockey in Finland, or respect for History. First and only Olympic without NHL-ers.. Canada, Russia or Sweden, then Finland, Czech. That's the actual ranking that would be if circumstances had been anything normal. Which it will be from now on.
