The No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones were pitted against the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks in a matchup for early superiority in the rugged Big 12 Conference. The perfect day was sealed with an 86-81 victory for the Cyclones, their 15th win over a ranked opponent in the last three seasons. Six Cyclones scored in double figures, led by Naz Long’s 20 points.
